Phelps eight medal dream ended…
Michael Phelp’s dream of claiming an unprecedented eight golds in the World Championships were ended when the USA team were disqualified from the 4 x 100 medley relay.
This happened after team-mate Ian Crocker (who swam the butterfly leg) left the blocks too early in the medley heats (By a massive 0.04 seconds).
Phelps team-mate Neil Walker said,
“Michael was doing something no-one has ever done before and I think everyone is going to be disappointed.”
Phelps was unavailable for comment but our exclusive soggycornflakes.com sources tell us that he was seen in a bondage shop checking out an assortment of whips, repeatedly asking the shopkeeper, “Can you choke someone with this one?”
Whatever though. Phelps is greedy. What does he need 8 golds for? If me and my wife were as greedy as he is, we would never have been able to maintain such a happy loving long marriage. Like when I buy a six pack of Twinkies, she lets me eat the crumbs. From inside the packet. And now I’m poisoning her. Slowly. Over a period of months.
