Hamilton takes Pole…

Lewis Hamilton continued to impress, clinching Pole position for tomorrows US Grand Prix.  Hamilton pipped team-mate Fernando Alonso by 0.169 seconds. Alonso was fastest in practice and the first two qualifying sessions but was beaten in the third.

Hamilton said,

“I’m quite surprised to be honest, Going into qualifying we hadn’t found the optimium set-up and I knew Fernando was quick here. It’s good to see we’re ahead of the Ferraris. I had to pull it all out but my last two laps in third qualifying were just right.”

Talk about fishing for compliments. He’d be more subtle if he wore a suit that had compliments written all over it in big yellow letters while carrying a box that said, “compliments here”, screaming “I’m insecure!!!”.

Alonso recorded a time of one minute, 11.925 seconds at the Indianapolis Speedway… and that is all.

I’m freakin tired… had a dumbass Maths exam today… who need frickin’ calculus? It’s not like I’m gonna say, ”Ooh! Ooh! I can differentiate. And do anti-derivatives. Come to my arms baby!

Another sports round-up

Seriously, it’s more fun when the guys take a break and I can write about all the sports together…it’s fun.

Good Evening and welcome to your 8 o’ clock edition of SoggyCornflakes Sports.
In cricketing news, the useless Jamaican authorities will finally be having a press conference next Tuesday to inform the world about former Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer’s death. When 58-year-old Woolmer was found dead in his hotel room after Pakistan’s shocking defeat to Ireland in the group stages of the Cricket World Cup, foul play was suspected, especially after an autopsy was released that stated Woolmer had been strangled. After new conspiracy theories pouring in everyday, a report was released by Scotland Yard that stated that Woolmer had died of natural causes. So he just died because the Pakistani team sucked so bad.

In Football (or Soccer, depending on where you’re from) news, Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann was informed by new signing Lukas Fabianski that the youngster is more than willing and ready to take the number one spot ahead of Jens.

The young hottie says:

“I want to be first choice at Arsenal as much as they do. My message is clear — I’m ready to fight from day one. Of course I can wait a little bit for my chance. But I’m not going to Arsenal just to be there. I want to become a regular first-team player. Hopefully I’ll do it from the very beginning because I’m ready. Being at a club and playing are two different things — I want to play. I will focus on working hard every day and competing for the No1 jersey.”

And mad Jens was quick to retort that he is still at a physical peak and no-one can beat him at experience. Then he burst into tears…nah, I’m joking. I love them both and may the best man win.

In Spanish Soccer, David Beckham will probably be hoping to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season with a Spanish League title medal thingy. Real Madrid and Barcelona are level on the top of the league, but Real will have to win against Real Mallorca at home next weekend. Since I haven’t heard of Real Mallorca and I have heard of Real Madrid (who I kinda despise…almost as much as I Hate Barca) I’m assuming they’ll win, but whatever, who cares?

And in Grand Prix news, British Lewis Hamilton won the Canadian Grand Prix, insisting that he knew that he would win. The McLaren driver won after only 6 GPs, and even though he had some doubt in his mind especially compared to team-mate Fernando Alonso, he was a winner. Alonso might be having some issues though as he declared his poor result as bad luck and the fact his tires weren’t grained properly or some other poncy excuse or the other.

And finally, today’s weather. It’s flippin cold here and I don’t care about anywhere else. I want my blankie!

I’m not sure what I’m writing about

Hey, I’m filling in again for the idiot guys who can’t update their own blog, but whatever, I’m Wonderwoman and Elastigirl combined, nothing scares me! Besides bugs and snakes and butter…but otherwise I am fearless!

I found alot of decent stories today, but only have time to write one entry…so I decided to combine them together and give you one big superpost! -Sigh- So many sports, so little time.

Firstly, Africans go insane and 12 people were killed in a stampede when Zambia beat Congo Brazaville for the African Cup Qualifiers in Zambia. All the victims were Zambian supporters. Poor gits, I love soccer but it is so not worth dying for, even if your team just beat another 3-0…well, maybe if it was Arsenal…nah, I won’t even die for Arsenal.

Secondly, Ralf Schumacher is still disappointing everyone by being useless and a total disappointment to his brother…he’s like Paris to Hector in Troy…except he’s not hot and he doesn’t wear leather skirts. Hot guys in leather skirts…mmmm. It shows that I write for the celebrity blog, huh? Ya, so everyone is surprised on why he’s so out of form at Monaco, despite the fact that they thought he was getting comfortable in his new car.

Toyota’s Pascal Vasselon says:

“From the very beginning we were struggling to give Ralf a car which was comfortable over bumps and kerbs and that affected his confidence. He felt very low grip as well.

So Ralph really is useless, shame.

And finally, Claudio Ranieri has taken over the job of coach at Juventus after signing a 3 year contract.

“For Juventus, this an authoritative choice fully in line with the company’s objectives and tradition,” a club statement read.

“A man of international experience and vision, he is able to embody the aims of the mid-term development plan approved by the board of directors. With Claudio Ranieri, a season with a wealth of ambitions and new opportunities opens up.”

Well, good for Juve, I guess, but didn’t this dude use to be a Chelsea coach? Ewww! But he did take Parma from the brink of relegation and I guess he’ll be looking to take Juve to the top of Serie A which they made it back into after being relegated for being a bunch of cheaters, cheaters, pumpkin eaters. Yeah, and I think I have to work on my maturity levels too.

And that’s it for today, the boys will be back tomorrow. Have a good week.
