Brennan banned for life…

Irish flanker Trevor Brennan has been handed a lifetime ban from all ERC Rugby, after he was found guilty of assaulting a supporter in a match against Ulster in January.
Brennan was also fined ₤17000 for the assault as well as being ordered to pay ₤3000 to Patrick Bamford (the victim of the assault).

The decision comes after Brennan had earlier announced his retirement form the sport. He seems to have decided to concentrate on running his pub, De Danu, in Toulouse (Ooh! an Irishman opening a pub, Shock!!!)

OK, I have only two things to say.

1) What’s the point of banning someone for life after they’ve retired? If we’re doing that, than let’s dig up Hitler’s corpse and blow some holes in it.

2) Why charge an Irishman for assaulting someone? That’s what they do! It’s like charging a tiger for hunting, or me for being sexy. If you take that away from them all they have is acting like gay leprechauns, and getting drunk…

Speaking of the Irish… can they beat Pakistan?
