Salman Khan goes to his dad for help
Posted by tigger in Harry Baweja, Javed Akhtar, Rakesh Roshan, Salman KhanI guess in a way, it’s a bit refreshing that Bollywood parents are more like normal parents and not the “vulture parents” that exist in Hollywood, who can’t seem to resist the urge to exploit their kids. Anyways, it isn’t strange to hear about Bollywood actors who live with their parents or buy them houses nearby their own or even go to them for support.
Some parents, like Rakesh Roshan and Harry Baweja, provide more for their kids than just the usual unconditional support, but even use their own directorial power to launch their kids or make them successful movie stars. I guess Salman is hoping that maybe his dad’s influence in his movies will make a difference to his career.
Poor Salman has had 4 consecutive flops in God Tussi Great Ho, Heroes, Hello and Yuvraaj. So he’s asked Salim Khan to write his next script, in the hope that it would pick up his stalled career. Now, Salim wrote the script of Sholay…so it has to be good, right? Right…except he wrote it with Javed Akhtar and ever since the writing duo broke up, they haven’t had much luck in writing scripts…
On the other hand, what does Salman have to lose?
