Ranbir quits for Deepika

Posted by tigger in Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor Deepika Padukone

Let’s see…my excuse for not updating yesterday…ah, why even bother, I was just not in the mood. But today I am, so let’s get back to Bollywood.

Firstly, I guess the rumours about Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor breaking up are all crap. It was her birthday on the 5th of January (she turned 23), Ranbir attended her birthday party and gave her a very public present.

Apparently, Ranbir is a bit of a chain-smoker (like half of Bollywood really) and even though Deepika has never told him to quit, she was never really comfortable when he smoked around her. So Ranbir’s birthday present to Deepika was that he would quit smoking. Deepika then went on record to say that she’s very happy with Ranbir. She spent most of her birthday with Ranbir and parents and visited a temple for blessings.

Speaking of birthdays, today is Bipasha’s 30th and now she’s joined the league of 30-ers in Bollywood.

Arshad is all swollen up

Posted by tigger in Arshad Warsi, Bipasha Basu, John Abraham

Arshad all swollen

As shown by my not-that-funny or realistic distortion above.

As Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal gets premiered, tongues are wagging and tabloid trash is going insane wondering why Arshad Warsi isn’t along to promote the film with John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. The poor dear though, he’s not boycotting the film because his role wasn’t big enough, he’s not there because he’s suffering from some serious allergies.

“I was in bed for two weeks. I had terrible allergy attack. My face was completely swollen. It started with a viral fever. But after two days I started getting itchy and swollen. I had kept time aside for the ‘Goal’ promo. Thank god I wasn’t the only actor in the project. That would’ve been disastrous,”

Arshad may be getting a bit tired of doing the loyal sidekick roles however, such as Munnabhai MBBS, it’s sequel and Salaam Namaste. While he waits for exclusively Arshad-is-the-hero roles, he’s still having fun on sets, despite what the media has to say.

“But I can’t complain. I got into ‘Goal’ with my eyes closed. And I’m very honestly saying the problems with John and Bipasha (Basu) were highly exaggerated by the media. Bipasha is a very honest girl. I had no problems with either her or John.”

That’s nice to hear and he also warns us that Goal isn’t another Chak De India. Yes, it’s centered around sports, but it’s more for entertainment rather than giving us morals such as ‘Never give up’ and ‘If you’re ugly and try and seduce the coach, he won’t put you in unless he absolutely has to’. Important lessons those are too.

Be Good this Diwali

Posted by tigger in Bipasha Basu, John Abraham

John Abraham Happy Diwali

That’s the message from John Abraham and girlfriend Bipasha Basu. They want you have a great Diwali, but just to consider the consequences of your actions. It’s great that you celebrate the Festival of Light. Just remember the kids that made the firecrackers that you may wanna play with.

John says:

“I get really worried because Diwali is all about fire crackers, an intensively child labour driven industry. Whenever you buy and burn them please understand where they come from. Children make them and acquire lung diseases in return,”

“I am not saying all this to spoil your Diwali but to make you realise that this industry is not needed. Also, be cautious while bursting crackers, especially youngsters. Don’t hurt animals. It’s a festival of lights enjoy it responsibly,”

Bipasha says:

“Children must be extra careful while burning crackers otherwise they will hurt themselves. It is a festival of lights so light diyas and candles, exchange gifts, offer sweets to all, wear beautiful clothes, spend time with your friends and family members, and enjoy yourself,”

And that was their public service announcement this holiday. Be safe everyone.
