Zayed Khan got hurt

Zayed not that tough

Hi all, short and random posts for this week, because even though I'm on holiday, I have way too much work to do.

Remember when we were kids and our mom's told us not to jump from our beds/the back of the sofa/the top of the dresser? That's because she didn't want us to hurt ourselves. Zayed Khan obviously didn't listen to his mum when he was injured during a stunt shoot for his next movie Blue.

Zayed was involved in a stunt that saw him jumping from a highrise building in Bangkok which resulted him banging his head on the windshield of a car. He says,
"The blood gushed out and was all over my face. It took a while for everyone to realize I was injured,"
Did you notice how everyone describes any cut saying that the blood was gushing out? Anyways, Zayed was taken to the hospital, stitched up and returned to shooting the next day. The cut was quite high on his forehead, so his hair was used to disguise it.

Zayed picks Yuvraaj over friends

When push comes to shove, there is always a question about where our loyalties lie. Zayed Khan's loyalties obviously lies with Yuvraaj director Subhash Ghai rather than friend Sunil Shetty and his film Mission Istaanbul.

Zayed Khan likes feminine attention

Author: tigger  //  Category: Hrithik Roshan, Suzanne Khan, Zayed Khan
Nah, nothing freaky like that. Zayed Khan has been quiet for quite a while and the birth of his new nephew gave him an opportunity to talk to the press. He talks about his own kid Zidaan and the perspective that the little guy has brought into his life, mainly because now he's not the baby in the family anymore.
“First my son Zidaan in January, now Hrithik and Susanne’s baby… Damn, I’m done being the baby of the family!” “Every morning, I play for 45 minutes with Zidaan. It’s my way of connecting with God. It braces me to face the day. Zidaan has changed the course of my life and career. Just look at the films I was doing earlier and the line-up now. I guess patience pays. I’ve learnt the hard way that waiting for the right role is much better than doing the wrong films. I’m going to be 29 in two months. About time I found my bearings in life.”
That's nice...Zayed is growing up. He talks about the new Roshan baby,
"He’s so cute. He has Hrithik’s blue-green eyes. I think the child will look more like Hrithik than Susanne. I’m so happy to see a new generation of kids coming up in our family. Hopefully, there will be more actors coming from the Khan family.”
Ahhh, no, please no! I beg of you, no more celebrity offspring...I can't take it anymore! Make it stop! Now I'm done with that rant...enjoy he rest of your evening!

Bollywood Valentine’s A nice easy post this one is...Happy Valentine's Day everyone...since I don't believe in the commercial holiday, which is nothing more than an excuse to make guy's feel guilty, girls feel stupid and everyone wastes money on tacky teddy bears and plastic roses. Love is not this but let's see how Bollywood will be spending it's day...
Aishwarya Rai: "I'll be attending the premiere of Jodha-Akbar in Delhi on Valentine's Day. But Abhishek will be with me. So no complaints. Every day is a simple day and every day is a celebration. What you make of every moment is what it’s all about. Bipasha Basu: Doing: "We're going for a short trip to Cape Town. For the last three years on Valentine's Day John and I have been in in different countries. Looking forward to this flash holiday. Desire: "None. I'm happy and contented." Zayed Khan: Doing: "See, it was Valentine's Day five years ago that I proposed to Malaika. So it's a doubly special day for me. I think I'm going to try my hand at being chef, and have a go at some fine wine that I've been saving up for us for a special day. We'll be at home since we don't want to leave our son Zidaan alone. Desire: "For many more such Valentine's Days" Pooja Bedi: Doing: "I've absolutely no plans. It's a day for LOVERS,not about being with loved ones, friends and relative. Unless you want to comfort yourself about the absence of that someone special in your life. Desire: Waiting for my Prince Charming to come. Priyanka Chopra: "I don't believe you need a reason or a particular day to say you love someone. When you're in love every day is special." Koena Mitra: Doing: "Since I don't have anyone special in my life I'd do the usual things, like watching a movie with my girlfriends, shopping till I drop and some harmless male-bashing with my girlie pals. And hmmmm, I may do some serious flirting. Is that allowed? Desire: "My Valentine desire would be to finally meet Mr Right. But if that's not possible this Valentine then fine. Just get me a man who's hot-looking and a great conversationalist. Then even a Mr Wrong will do. Celina Jaitley: Desire: My Valentine wish is to find true love. Doing: "Though I'm working on Valentine's Day I have a special show for the day on MTV for the single. I'll watch it and have a good laugh Imtiaz Ali: Doing: "There's a special screening of my Jab We Met for young Delhi romantics. So it's a day of good business for me. And this is as romantic as I can get. Desire: "I want to keep making films that girls will adore on Valentine's Day. Aryan Vaid: "My Valentine's Day plans are open. I'm single so nothing happening. I want to celebrate love. It's such an amazing time and with the Mumbai weather being so romantic, this Valentine's Day will be special even without a play- mate. Desire: Hopefully next year I'll have someone special to celebrate it with. Farhan Akhtar: Doing: "Since I'm shooting for Rock On it'll be a very routine Valetine's Day for me. But the night gets exciting when I get to see an intensely romantic film Jodha-Akbar. Desire: "Want to see Mumbayites back to the spirit of the city.. Esha Deol: Doing: "It's an unromantic Valentine for me. I'm shooting an ad with my mum and sis. Desire: "I want to give lots of love to all those who've given me love. Lots of love to all my ex-es too! Ha ha. May God keep me single for as long as possible because I love my freedom. Muzamil Ebrahim: Doing: "It's my mother's birthday on Valentine's Day so there'll definitely be lots of celebration. Desire: "Want good health and happiness for all those who love me.And I want to get together with the one I want to be with. Dino Morea: Doing: "Since I've no love life I'll be doing some good for society. Will be meeting cancer patients who are couples and helping one another through life. Then I'm off to Delhi for an event. Sammir Dattani: Doing : "Shooting a very romantic song in Bangalore with my co–star Jennifer Kotwal but thinking of someone very special in Mumbai. Desire: Wish I was back on Mumbai to be with that someone very special. Riya Sen: "Nothing exciting. I'll be working. I'm in Delhi on the 14th for an appearance. Amrita Arora: Doing: "Will be shooting on Valentine's Desire: "Wish to have my loved one with me forever Divya Dutta: "I'm celebrating Valentine's Day with my favourite people on the sets of Dilli 6 in Jaipur.. and that includes my childhood crush Rishi Kapoor. Kushal Punjabi: Doing: "Besides shooting I'll be doing what all other lovers do on Valentine's Day. Exchanging cards and listening to romantic songs. What did you think? Desire: "From all the girls in my life that one special person will emerge on this day. I promise I'll give up doing naughty like exchanging cards things after that. Neil Mathur: Doing: "Will be going out with a secret Valentine to a secret place." Desire: "One wish would be that I get the power to give back love to all those who love me." Tusshar Kapoor: Doing: "Nothing special. Just meeting up with friends after shooting" Desire: "If I had my way I'd make every day Valentine's Day." Amrita Rao: Doing: "I'm shooting all day and and attending a birthday party in the evening." Desire: "I wish all those people in love be so forever. And those who don't, may they please find love this Valentine's Day." Malaika Arora: Doing: "I want to spend the day with all my loved ones." Desire: "I don't anyone to be alone on Valentine's Day." Tanushree Dutta: Doing "I'm shooting on Valentine's Day.So no Valentine plan." Desire: "I wish I'd be in Paris for the next Valentine's Day."

Ritesh is proud of ‘Cash’

Author: tigger  //  Category: Ajay Devgan, Diya Mirza, Esha Deol, Ritesh Deshmukh, Shamita Shetty, Sunil Shetty, Zayed Khan
Cash Even though I've changed the title song to 'Crap to the left of me, crap to the right of me...' and you get the idea. I'm glad he's proud of himself because that movie is somewhere down there on the unrealistic-and-disjointed-rubbish movie meter. Ritesh Deshmukh loves Cash, even though it didn't do much for his career, but he feels that he's proved that he can do other roles besides comedy. He enjoyed shooting for the film so much that he lost track of how fast shooting went...and yet he never questioned where a F1 car appeared from.
"The kind of action that we got to see in 'Cash' was never seen before. Me, Ajay Devgan, Zayed Khan, Suniel Shetty, Shamita Shetty, Diya Mirza and Esha Deol had a whale of time. We didn't even realize when the shooting got over,"
Did you know Ritesh was an architect? He even has a company...good back-up plan in case the acting career flops. He's not really concentrating on that job just yet though, saying,
"I leave my architecture company's running in the hands of a very efficient team while I focus on my acting,"
Yes, and I leave my unwritten novel in my head while I concentrate on blogging...

Zayed jumps out of a window!

Zayed Khan
Wow, I know he's not the greatest of actors, but that's just harsh. Oh wait, no, he just did it for a stunt. Brave boy. Except you know, he doesn't listen when people say don't do the stunt. I don't know if he's stubborn or just stupid. Director Apoorva Lakhia wasn't particularly impressed however, with Zayed Khan's daredevilism (is that even a word?) and says: "He (Zayed) wanted to do a risky stunt himself. I refused. We rehearsed it with a double. But at the last minute Zayed was adamant. He insisted on doing it even as I protested," "If I had my way I'd have definitely not allowed it. We're in a foreign land. And, on top of it, my producer Suniel Shetty's partner Shhabir Boxwallah had to rush back to Mumbai because his mother was ill. Almost the entire unit is composed of young people - Zayed, Viveik Oberoi etc. I've to take production decisions which I hate." They're shooting in Istanbul for new movie Mission Istanbul (wow, what a coincidence) and Zayed decided that he'll definitely be breaking some bones that day and crashed through an eighth-storey window and on to a truck on the road. Not enough excitement in your life? Go on a roller coaster dude, this is unnecessary!

Zayed talks…we pretend to listen

Zayed Khan How many of you are fans of Zayed Khan. After seeing him in a few movies, I'll admit he's easy on the eyes, in a scrawny and annoying kinda way but maybe acting isn't his forte. Excerpts from an interview:
Q: Vikram informed that you injured your back quite seriously during an action sequence in the film. How are you now? A: I am much better, thanks to the prayers of my well-wishers. Vikram had explained each and every scene of the film to me in detail. In fact, that's the reason I signed the film, I knew exactly what I had to do. As for accidents, they just happen. My only grievance is that the accident forced me to stay away from the camera and in bed rest for some six months. Q: Tell us about how the accident happened. A: The action scene involved nine other men. I had to climb up with the help of a rope. Unfortunately, the rope couldn't bear my weight and tore off; I landed right on a chair, while the other men fell on my back. However, this accident has made this film memorable for me. I have noticed that the films which get delayed often do well at the box-office. I have similar hopes of this film. Q: How was the experience of working with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in "Mai Yuvraj"? A: It was good. Many say Salman is moody. But there is nothing like that. Those who spread rumours against him either don't know him or don't mean him well. I think he is a great human being, with a heart of gold. He is one amongst the few in the industry who don't care what the media writes about them. He doesn't follow people, it's the other way round. Q: Besides Salman, who else do you think can be included in Madame Tussauds wax gallery? A: According to me, Hrithik will make a good choice. His talent makes films come alive.
Not much interesting to say about this. Let's now all pretend like we're looking forward to his next movie Speed. Here's my theory about movies with one word, English names. They suck...or they will suck as soon as they come out. You would think that he had learned that from Cash, but no.

Zayed has cooking as a back-up

Author: tigger  //  Category: Zayed Khan
Zayed Khan says that he loves cooking so much, that if he didn't act, he'd probably be a traveling chef. Zayed says that he even cooked for all his co-stars when they were shooting in Cape Town, South Africa for their new film Cash. He also says he enjoyed visiting Cape Town. ... Slow news day. I'm talking about Zayed Khan saying he can cook in case you fell asleep. I think he'll find his cooking skills handy when he's out of a job due to the whole of India realizing he has as much acting talent as a potato... who am I kidding? He's from a filmi family. You could actually be a potato and as long as you had a famous last name all of India would be saying "Oh my God, did you see how brooding he looked as he just sat there?" and all the women would say, "Ooh! What sexy tentacle-things he has". Ladies and Gentlemen I present - Indian Cinema!

No Khans at Ash-Abhi Wedding

Author: tigger  //  Category: Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Fardeen Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Zayed Khan
Ashy Ok, so my last reports were wrong (damn that monkey in the alley, he lied to me!) and Salman Khan was not invited to the wedding of the year...um, month...um, week. Yeah, that's it, it's the most important wedding happening that week. SantaBanta reports that none of the Khans have been invited to the big day, including all the Big Khans (Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir) and the Little ones (Saif Ali Khan, Zayed and Fardeen) and the behind the scene Khans (Farah and Sajid Khan, Feroz Khan). Is it just me, or does Bollywood have ALOT of Khans? Oh well, it's supposed to be a private affair, so there isn't really a point to inviting them. I mean, Shah Rukh will probably get drunk and go around promoting whisky, Salman will bring Katrina and show her off while making innuendo about his relationship with Ash and Aamir will sit there, glaring at everyone because he hadn't had a hit movie since Fanaa. And then there'll be a huge food fight, well, because that's the best way to end a wedding.
