Rani Mukherjee is back. Well, she’s trying to make a comeback and she’s going straight to the top.

Unfortunately, poor Rani hasn’t had much luck in the box office recently. She can’t seem to attract the same buzz that she used to but now she’s going to fix it with her new movie…she hopes.

Yash Chopra, who last directed Veer-Zaara is making a new movie and Rani is his leading lady. The movie called…um, I don’t know what it’s called yet but right now, it’s shooting in Amritsar and Rani was seen walking around on sets with a very traditional salwar-kameez. Maybe she’s decided to go back to basics?

No one even knows who her leading man is. I hate these half-complete stories!

Finally, pics are back up. That doesn’t mean I’m a wordpress genius, just means I got lazy of trying and used another source for the photos. If the pics are a bit blurry or something…I don’t know why! But at least they’re back up!

So happy Monday all, I hope you had a brilliant weekend. Mine was extremely relaxing, except now I have to catch up on all the work I didn’t do over the weekend. Maybe it’s just me, but campus got a lot harder this semester!

So the latest story today, and to add another twist to the Katrina Kaif birthday fiasco, is that boyfriend Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan started bickering during the party. When will these guys ever grow up?

Even though the fight sounded very petty, it seems that Bollywood is breaking apart down the middle, with Shah Rukh supporters and Sallu supporters. It seems that Salman first took aim at Shah Rukh with a bottle of champagne and Shah Rukh retaliated with an evian water and even Aamir Khan got involved with a bottle of oil, so he could pour oil on troubled waters…get it? Heehee…Ok, I’m sugar high. Bad joke.

Salman did start the fight though, by comparing the ratings of ‘Dus Ka Dum’ and “Paanchvi Pass’ and laughed at King Khan for not even pulling decent ratings. SRK was supposedly silent for most of the attack, until he retorted by saying something about Ash, which set Salman off again. And Aamir did try to intervene, to no avail. Unfortunately, there weren’t any eyewitnesses, so no one can tell me if they had a food fight or not.

So now Salman’s and Shah Rukh’s supporters are coming up from the woodwork, with actors such as Fardeen and Zayed Khan, Ranbir and Kareena Kapoor all throwing in their lot with him and directors like Sajid Khan, Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar and Yash Chopra supposedly siding with Shah Rukh.

Honestly, I don’t care who wins, as long as there’s a Bollywood-wide food-fight!

Bollywood fans in Dubai, you’re soon going to be getting your own Yash Raj theme park kinda thingy over there.

Yash Raj aren’t having the best luck in the movie department, with their last few films being quite disappointing (Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Aaja Nachle, Tashan), and while they hope that Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic will work its magic at the box office (bad pun, I know), they’re looking at other ways of generating money.

So they’ve decided to open up a theme park area in Dubai, that contains movie palaces and unique hotels to give everyone a taste of India and flog off a whole bunch of Yash Raj merchandise to unsuspecting foreigners (with dollars and dirhams).

Yash Chopra says,

“When YRF decided to venture into the Theme Park business, we found Dubai to be the most strategic location. Dubai has a booming tourism industry and aims to be the most visited destination in the World by 2015. Also, UAE has a huge fan following of our Indian films and are watched and cherished not only by the South East Asian Diaspora but also by the Local population,”

“The first phase of the YRF Entertainment District is scheduled to be completed by 2012.

And the CEO of Dubai Infinity Holdings, Samira Abdulrazzak, says,

“The UAE and India have always had a strong relationship in various business sectors and now we are bringing their most prestigious entertainment brand here,”

So will they have waiters that look like Shah Rukh Khan? I’ve got to say, he’s a more attractive mascot than the mouse.

Any regular SoggyCornflakes reader knows that I despise Sherlyn Chopra. I know despise is a strong word, but when you shudder at her pictures and cringe when you read about her, despise seems like a pretty good word. Sherlyn recently gave an interview and I think I understand her behaviour now…it’s obvious that she’s living in her own protected bubble of ignorance and she’s quite blissful in there.

Sherlyn says that she’s changing her image in Bollywood…except not that much.

“I don’t want any more of what I was doing till now. I want more class. I was the ugly duckling but now, I want things to get better. But this won’t be a bikini to bindi makeover,”

She doesn’t seem to get it, does she? The ugly stepsister never turns into Cinderella. More disturbing stuff follows,

“I have bagged a 40-minute role in Yash Raj’s next film with Rani Mukerji and Shahid Kapur. It is not a cameo and I share a beautiful relationship with Shahid on screen. The director of the film, Anurag Singh, had seen my video Outrageous and the numerous wallpapers online. He told me that I’d need to glam it up in the film. I told him that I’ve done it all, only to be told that maybe, I have no idea what super-glam is. They are apparently in talks with Manish Malhotra for a makeover,”

You have got to be kidding me. This shows the continued decline of Yash Raj if they have to resort to hiring Sherlyn. Though it’s going to take a lot from them to teach her that “glam” is not synonymous with “ho”.

When asked if she had met with Yash Chopra, she replied,

“No, I haven’t, but I have had a brief encounter with Adi. I told him about many things, including my trip to Barcelona, and he just said, ‘Hmm, okay’ to most of the things,”

Probably because Aditya Chopra was thinking “Dear God, I used to work with Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan…do you hate me so much now!? Why God, why?!?!”

“But I can’t wait to work on the film. Anurag told me that Rani and Shahid are amazing actors and if I want to get my act right, I better start attending the film workshops. We’ll be shooting from July and I can’t wait to meet Rani! I’ll probably call her Ranidi and the first thing I’m going to tell her is that I loved her in Black. Maybe, she’ll ask me to call her just Rani and not di!”

Is it just me or is this starting to sound like the diary entry of a sad little teenager? Ooh, maybe Shahid will even look at her! -EEEEEE!-

And the icing on this cake, she speaks about her new video and compared herself to Hema Malini,

“The video is called Dard-E-Sherlyn and it has some similarity to Dard kehta hai… I loved Hemaji in Sholay and this is my tribute to her. This might make me the dream girl of the twenty-first century!”

See, I told you she lives in her own little world. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go throw up…and brush my teeth…and wash my hands…and maybe stab myself in the eyes because I’ve read way too much about Sherlyn. Ewww…
