There’s a few actors in Bollywood that every actress wants to work with and in the last few years, Akshay Kumar has become part of that list. One of the latest girls to get the chance to act with King Akki is Udita Goswami.

To continue the trend of acting in movies with badly spelled titles (Heyy Babyy, Singh is Kinng), he’ll be playing the lead in their new film Helloo India, directed by Shabnam Kapoor. Udita has already begun shooting with him in London and says that it’s a lot of fun. Her character is that of a NRI journalist.

I’m interested to see how this one turns out, since Akki is usually involved with actresses that draw audiences in. How will the girl that usually tears her clothes off bring tears to the eyes of the audience…?

Udita Goswami, who never comes up much in this blog has brought media attention to the plight of stray dogs…she has also brought attention to the fact that she’s a caring and kind animal lover.

She recently came across a stray dog outside her building and it seemed the poor pooch couldn’t walk. Udita was outraged when someone told her that the dog had been hanging around outside the building for a few days,

Udita storms,

“And to think about it, no one came forward to help it. How could people be so insensitive? I was shocked by people apathy”

Um, doesn’t she live in the country where people step over beggars? I don’t know why she’s so shocked that they ignore a hurt dog.

“On inspecting it further, I realized that she was unable to walk at all. Apparently there was some internal injury which had resulted in her being immobile. I was almost in tears when I carried her to a doc and requested him to inspect her further”

“I started nurturing her and in a matter of two days, she was on her feet - Literally! I keep joking with my friends that perhaps she was just acting all this while because she was destined to join my family. Otherwise what else describes her miraculous recovery in 48 hours flat”

So instead of being a sad cat lady, Udita is a sad dog lady. How…sad?

Udita Goswami, who once acted in a couple of Bhatt Movies… says that she’s not interested in being part of any camp in Bollywood.

She says,

“I am still a newcomer and I am not a part of any group or camp,”

Did you notice how I took a nothing story and acted like it’s a big thing? I mean there are thousands of unemployed actors in Bollywood. Because she’s definitely unemployed… If you’re not part of a camp in Bollywood, you’re unemployed. That’s fact man!
