Sorry for the so so late updates, just been crazily busy today, but yay! It’s Friday, meaning that most of you have a whole two days of freedom coming up and if you’re like me, you have a whole month of freedom staring you in the face…

Kareena Kapoor was recently spotted on the sets of Main aur Mrs Khanna, in which she stars with Salman Khan. Obviously now she’s in Bangkok for IIFA, but Salman is still working hard on the movie, which also contains his brother Sohail.

It’s being directed by Prem Soni and Kareena says that she’s a bit nervous to act with Sallu again, despite the success of Kyun Ki.

Kareena says,

“Although we’ve done Priyadarshan’s Kyun Ki before, I always get nervous working with Salman. He was my sister’s hero long before we were paired together. And now to be doing a film with him…”

“Our new film Main Aur Mrs Khanna is an intensely romantic film. I don’t think Salman has done a pure love story like this before. Neither have I. Sohail is also in the film.”

Others have tagged the film as a comedy and since stick-thin chicks don’t get any laughs, Kareena has put on a little weight, to her credit. Not that it’s hard to put on weight, all you have to do is eat tons of McDonald’s and then take a nap…that’s how sumo wrestlers do it.

We haven’t seen the two Khans together since Kuch Kuch Hota Hai…isn’t it about time that someone benefits from their joint fame? Well, Sohail Khan is looking to cash in on his brother and King Khan by making a rip-off of Hollywood hit Jerry Maguire.

Since the movie is sports orientated, Shah Rukh was very interested in it and Sohail is just waiting for confirmation from him before the project kicks off.

Needless to say, Shah Rukh Khan will probably take over Tom Cruises role as the sports agent who speaks out against the dishonesty and fraud in the system and Salman will have Cuba Gooding Jr.’s role as the egomaniac footballer. No ideas on who will get Renee Zellwegger’s role, but I wonder how they’re gonna translate “You had me at ‘hello’”? “Namaste par mein teri thi”? And people say I speak Urdu well…Hah, I showed them!

Katrina Kaif is really missing her family after working with family groups in her latest movies. The actress worked with the Deol’s in Apne and with the Khan’s in Partner and that totally screwed with her head as it reminds her of her own family and how much she misses them.

“The Deols in Apne and the Khans, Salman and Sohail (who’ve produced during the film) during Partner bonded so beautifully on the sets, I’d invariably miss my own family.”

“It was such a pleasure to just do a film with the Deols Dharamji, Sunny and Bobby. I’d look at them together on the sets and miss my sisters and mom so much…I come from a large family. But I’m in Mumbai alone.

And when I saw how beautifully the Deols bonded I felt….sad and happy…they were having so much fun. Made me wish I had my sisters around. It’s unfortunate that my work has taken me away from my family.”

Yeah I get you Kat. It’s hard being away from your family. When you just want that person there so much that it hurts and still you can’t get them. It feels like someone’s ripped out your heart and left it with them and all you got was the left ventrical, so it really hurts when anyone moves. Yeah, that didn’t make much sense. Yeah, I live with my parents…but I totally get what you’re going through Kat!

Because he’s so sweet that is, not because he’s disgusting or has a grudge against homeless people. I guess all in all, Salman Khan is a pretty decent human being. He cares about sick kids, he helps fellow actor back into the industry and he gives new directors a chance in a very cut-throat industry.

New director Prem Soni very nervously approached the actor, and Salman gave him a quick ten minutes in which to sell him the story. Prem did and now he’ll be directing Main Aur Mrs Khanna (Me and Mrs Khanna). Yeah, that’s bad grammar, It should be Mrs Khanna and I. Shows it’s a Bollywood movie.

Sohail Khan says:

“It’s true Bhai and I are on the constant look-out for scripts and directors for Sohail Khan Productions. Of course we’ve friends like David Dhawan. David has just done a great job with Partner.

But we need new talent. When Prem Soni who used to work for Star India, approached Salmanbhai he asked him to narrate an idea. He loved what he heard and sent Prem to me.We’re now casting for the film.”

And obviously new adopted family Govinda is there for the male lead. Sohail says that Govinda can be in all their films if he wants…excpet please don’t. I like Govinda…but ther’s too much of a good thing. Besides chocolate…

Well, not really, but just a really devoted friend by the name of Govinda. The actor has slowly been building up his name again in Bollywood after a few years out of the industry and he has new pal Salman Khan to help him along.

“After Partner I’ve been indirectly offered another film by Sohail. I’ve been told about it by Suniel Shetty’s secretary George. I don’t know what the project is, and I don’t care. I’d do anything for the Khans blindly.

When I was down and out they could’ve given me any role, I’d have happily accepted. They instead gave me a parallel role to Salman in Partner. “

Salman and his family have seriously accepted Govinda into their family and he refuses to take any money for the projects he’s doing with them.

“I refused to accept any money for Partner, although they kept insisting. I won’t accept any money for this new project either. Does one talk money with the people who have embraced you as a brother?

Sohail and Salman are largely responsible for my second innings. When I didn’t take any money for Partner, Sohail drove a Mercedes into my residence and gifted the key to my wife. Who does these things in this industry?”

For their next production Govinda is adamant. “I won’t take a single penny. Yes, it’s an emotional decision. What’s wrong with being emotional? I wish I had met more people like Salman and Sohail earlier in my career. Itni khudgarzi dekhi, itna pyar bardasht nahin hota.”

Well, DUH! I mean, it’s not really normal behaviour to drive your car into a shop, unless you want to commit suicide…or because Pikachu told you to (don’t laugh, it happens) but Salman Khan’s infamous car crash that killed one and injured four in 2002 was due to soberness…or Salman’s lack thereof.

The manager of the pub where Salman was seen drinking testified in court and related how Salman, brother Sohail and a few other people were having drinks at the bar until they left. Aw, I really don’t think it was the alcohol…maybe Salman isn’t a very good driver…or maybe he thought his car could fly Harry Potter-style…or maybe he’s just really stupid. You know what? It probably was the alcohol…yeah, it’s not good for you. Learn from Salman kids, don’t drink and drive.
