What do Harry Potter and Hari Puttar have in common?

Author: tigger  //  Category: Jackie Shroff, Shamita Shetty

Ask Warner Bros., who are suing the makers of Hari Puttar: A Comedy of Terrors, because the name resembles the wizard boy franchise a bit too much. Hari Puttar stars Jackie Shroff and even has an item song by Shamita Shetty. I wonder how long it'll take to sort this mess out.

Those who can’t act, direct

Author: tigger  //  Category: Shamita Shetty, Shilpa Shetty

Shamita Shetty has not made great in-roads into the industry after her debut in Mohobbatein and reminds us that even having a famous sister in the industry does not guarantee a decent or even mediocre career.

Since the actress hasn't been in a proper role since Cash, and all other roles being item songs, Shamita has decided to form a production house and has dragged Shilpa Shetty into it as well, hoping that her siblings charms and good luck will work for her this time.

When asked about it, Shamita says,
“Yes, we are coming out with our own production house probably by next year. It’s still in the planning stage,”

“This is also a reason why you are not seeing much of me on screen. Right now I am concentrating more on my production project.”
Hmm, well good luck to her, hope she can direct and produce better than she can act.

Shilpa misses her birthday

No, she didn't forget it. Or then it would mean she has the same problem as my dad who forgets birthdays all the time, especially mine.

So Shilpa Shetty celebrated her 33rd birthday on Saturday night, even though it was yesterday (Happy Belated Birthday Shilpa!), but the poor gal never even got to blow out the candles.

The day started badly when she flew in to Dubai (where the party was planned) and a crucial bag was lost from her luggage,
"This, let me tell you, is the story of my life,"

"No journey of mine is complete without losing a bag. It could be a hopping flight from Mumbai to Pune. But if I don't lose baggage the journey is incomplete."
The bag contained her party dress and she and sister Shamita started the long trek through Dubai boutiques to find another perfect dress, which she didn't even wear because before the afternoon was over, she had crawled into bed with a high fever. She had gotten it from shooting scenes in artificial rain for her new movie with Sunny Deol.

Shilpa doesn't really care that she had to miss the party however,
"Because I spent the evening with my family. To me there can be no better way to bring in my birthday."
Sweet.

Ritesh is proud of ‘Cash’

Cash Even though I've changed the title song to 'Crap to the left of me, crap to the right of me...' and you get the idea. I'm glad he's proud of himself because that movie is somewhere down there on the unrealistic-and-disjointed-rubbish movie meter. Ritesh Deshmukh loves Cash, even though it didn't do much for his career, but he feels that he's proved that he can do other roles besides comedy. He enjoyed shooting for the film so much that he lost track of how fast shooting went...and yet he never questioned where a F1 car appeared from.
"The kind of action that we got to see in 'Cash' was never seen before. Me, Ajay Devgan, Zayed Khan, Suniel Shetty, Shamita Shetty, Diya Mirza and Esha Deol had a whale of time. We didn't even realize when the shooting got over,"
Did you know Ritesh was an architect? He even has a company...good back-up plan in case the acting career flops. He's not really concentrating on that job just yet though, saying,
"I leave my architecture company's running in the hands of a very efficient team while I focus on my acting,"
Yes, and I leave my unwritten novel in my head while I concentrate on blogging...

Viva la Facebook!

Author: tigger  //  Category: Shamita Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Shiney Ahuja
You know how you find celebrities on MySpace (the attention whores), Facebook is quickly taking over, ensuring that you can meet new people and hang with your friends, but your profile isn't open to the millions of losers...ahem, I mean, users of MySpace. While some celebrities know about fake accounts on Facebook (people posing to be them), some are still working out what the internet is. Shilpa Shetty and Shiney Ahuja are those kind and they have no idea that people people pretend to be them on Facebook. Dale some-surname, their publicist, says:
"Some other people have registered themselves with the actors' names and have uploaded their pictures. While Shiney is unaware of the forum, Shilpa has never been interested in it, though her sister Shamita does have an account on it," "It's dangerous as most surfers might think they are chatting with the real Shiney Ahuja or Shilpa Shetty. What the impersonators say can even harm the image and reputation of the actors,"
Aw C'mon, no idiot is going to believe that it's really them there. Celebrities don't lower themselves to come on social networking sites, unless they're Britney Spears or Paris Hilton and will use anything for some free publicity. Though I do know that Cesc is on there...he spoke to me! He spoke to me...

Bollywood is full of babies

Author: tigger  //  Category: Shamita Shetty, Shilpa Shetty
Shilpa and Shamita Shetty Shilpa Shetty won't be pleased to read this remark. She doesn't like Western media terming her close relationship with her mother as a sign of her own immaturity. On the other hand, Shilpa doesn't read this blog, so I can write whatever I want about her. So hah! I've written about this before, that Shilpa has been branded as a 'baby' because she still lives with her parents. Obviously, these guys don't get how co-dependant Shilpa is...I mean, how much she loves and adores her family. Her Spokesperson says:
“There are two basic reasons for the same, the first being the fact that Shilpa’s mum is like her best friend. Secondly if her mum is around, Shilpa can be somewhat laidback as she looks into the nitty-gritty of all things. In a way it must feel like home for her. When she had joined ‘Big Brother’, it was the first time she was traveling alone abroad and was without her mom for so many days at a stretch. Shilpa enjoys her mom’s company. And her mom too is also a very chirpy bubby and happy go lucky person who talks and even yaps at times. It won’t be an understatement to say that she is even bubblier than Shilpa and puts one at complete ease.” “Her mum accompanies her sister Shamita too, but then Shamita is much more independent and outgoing. She is much stronger. If she doesn’t like somebody doing something, she quickly disciplines the other person. While Shilpa can’t do that, she is too simple, sweet and extremely gullible. Sometimes if Sunanda Shetty is busy traveling with Shilpa, their dad travels with Shamita,”
I guess that makes sense. I mean, she was totally innocent when she got that nose job. She must have thought the doctor was going to get kittens to lick her face. Before you all start baying for my blood, I'm not dissing Shilpa. I live plastic surgery. The drugs rock, man! You feel like you're flying!
