Sameera Reddy is kind of on a high, after the success of Race and One Two Three, so like everyone in Bollywood, she's taken some time off to check out IPL matches and attend some of the events. It was at one of these events that Sameera met Indian cricketer Ishant Sharma

The Kolkata Knights fast bowler (that's Shah Rukh Khan's team) was bought for almost a million dollars and even though he couldn't lead the team to victory (or even out of the first round) with his fast arm and spindly legs, those features caught the gaze of another bidder: Sameera.

While she didn't pay much for him, the official story is that they are now dating. Hmmm, what is it about cricket players? Yes, some of them are cute, but very few are as good looking (or as rich) as football players. Does India even have a national football team? Figures, well, a girl has to take what she can get.

As One Two Three hits the theatres, not only is it in direct competition with Race, a few stories are emerging about the female stars in the movie. The stars, Tanissha Mukherjee, Esha Deol, Neetu Chandra and Sameera Reddy apparently had their claws drawn throughout shooting. This animosity has continued to the premiere where the girls continued to ignore each other and vie for attention from the camera's. Male co-star Tusshar Kapoor speaks of the rivalry,

"There was a cold war on. But no crying buckets, stamping of feet or fisticuffs as reported. The girls spoke to one another, but there were issues even if they weren't apparent. I guess, it's the intense competition."

Huh, that's weird, because this movie is the who's who of untalented skanks in Bollywood. Cool, it's true then, all girls have claws, even the ones who don't use them. -Halo pops over Tigger's head-

And that's a good thing people! Bollywood ideals of thinness are getting ridiculous, and it's nice to see an actress who doesn't look like a walking bag of bones. This is Sameera Reddy at the music launch of her new film One, Two, Three. Good for you Sameera! Can you tell I'm lazy by my short, chirpy and not very informative posts?

Sameera Reddy is a do-gooder, which is great, except when she's doing her zombie impression (above). Her last good deed went a but awry though because she and sister Meghna were threatened by 'goondai' (hooligans) when they spent the day with kids of the organisation that Sameera works with. ‘Dream Homes’ supports children by giving them shelter and Sameera and Meghna had decided to get rid or some bad karma by letting it rub off on the children.

“When the children were singing the national anthem, the mob barged in and started targeting me and my sister, I am shaken and scared, I don't know what to do. I am worried about the kids.”

Hmmm, maybe she should have kept this look, that would have scared them off real quick. Ok, Ok, I'll stop making fun of that picture...I'm sure it was bad lighting or something -snigger-.

As multi-starers become more popular in Bollywood, actresses have to get used to sharing the screen and the limelight with other faces. There's not much scope for a diva anymore (unless you're that famous) but Bipasha Basu didn't get the memo. The actress has refused to do an item song with Sameera Reddy and Katrina Kaif, which she only felt appropriate to tell the director after Sameera was all ready to shoot (no pun intended). No-one really knows what Bipasha's problem is but Sameera left the set, like a true professional and only came back once queen Bips was gone. Doesn't Bips get it? One chick flashing on screen isn't good enough anymore, now more than one is needed to get things going. Carry on doing that and the next place you'll be flashing is the street corner.

Sameera Reddy gave a kinda really boring interview on SantaBanta which you can go read if you're a Sameera fan...or just really bored. But Sameera talks about her lack of a love life and how she wished she had one. Don't we all?

"I have been away from romance for too long now and hope to be in a relationship very soon…Hmmm, if only things would go my way!”

You read my mind...now just have to find a guy. Maybe Shaadi.com? :-P

I didn't even know Sameera Reddy was in Fool and Final, but apparently she has an extended cameo appearance. She talks about the role and other things on SantaBanta. She also talks about her role in Race, which was supposed to be Mallika Sherawat's. She very matter-of-factly states:

"It might have been [Mallika's role]. But now it's mine. And that's what counts."

Well said. I wonder if this will lead to a cat-fight. Please be a cat-fight, please be a cat-fight! That's the only thing I get pleasuire from nowadays...that, and seeing Shahid in Fool and Final.
