Hey guys, sorry I've been AWOL for most of this week, I've just been bogged down with work but hopefully, SC will be back to normal by next week.
Today's story is about Salman Khan, who's playing a Sikh character in his new movie Heroes. Salman has to don a turban for the role and in respect for the religion, doesn't smoke while he's wearing the turban. Hmmm, sounds like an interesting way to quit smoking. Maybe he should wear that turban more. The movie has already begun shooting and is being directed by Samir Karnik, with Preity Zinta also starring opposite Sallu. I was wondering where Preity had disappeared, she hasn't appeared in a movie in ages.
The one thing that confuses me, Salman has always showed that he respects other religions, which is brilliant but he doesn't have a problem drinking and running over random people. I'm pretty sure Islam doesn't look kindly at that kind of behavior either.
Well, they've been going on for a while now, but have changed a bit.
Kareena Kapoor was planning a big bash for Saif Ali Khan, inviting all the big names in the industry to wish Saif a very Happy 39th birthday. Man, he's coming real close to the big 40. But after the debacle that happened at Katrina Kaif's birthday, Bebo decided that maybe quiet was better.
It was quite diplomatic of her since Saif is good friends with both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, and by turning the party into a small and intimate function, she's taken them both off the guest list. Maybe Bebo's not raking in the cash however, because when she was asked what she's getting for Saif, she said,
"I have not figured out a material gift for him yet. I have given him so much of my time — I think that’s my biggest gift to him."
Quick last post because I have things to do. Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Manissha Lamba recently appeared on 10 Ka Dum with Salman Khan. They also showed a few dance moves from Bachna Ae Haseeno...you know, I'm tired of the songs even before the movie came out.
Salman has been a pretty good host on the show, presenting prizes to the audience and occasionally helping a needy spectator, but he's also quite nice to his guest stars. This time, he handed over a painting of Raj Kapoor to Ranbir. The painting wasn't that bad, considering Salman did it.
Usually the adjectives to describe Govinda usually revolve around weight, but this time it's his head, not his body, that is putting on some serious weight.
The actor, who made a comeback to Bollywood in Partner and Bhagham Bagh isn't the humble and loyal actor he was after the release of those two movies (remember how he sucked up to Salman Khan?)
Firstly, where are all these stories when I'm looking for Shahid Kapoor stories on a Friday? Damn news agencies, they only release the good stories on a Monday.
Secondly, why are all the 'boddaas' (old guys) in Bollwyood going after Shahid? First it was Salman Khan that had a problem with Shahid and now Sanjay Dutt has also jumped on the bandwagon.
This story started several years ago (ok, like 2 years ago) when Shahid and Sanjay were working together on Vaah, Life ho Toh Aisi! and even though Sanjay was acting with Shahid in almost every scene, he didn't appreciate the fact that Shahid mostly kept to himself between scenes and wasn't particularly friendly towards him. SO that's why Sanjay refused to work with Shahid in his next movie, insisting that the director could cast anyone besides Shahid.
So the role in Sanjay's movie Kidnap eventually went to Imran Khan...which is obviously Sanjay's loss. Sanjay is also close friends with Salman, so I guess they could bounce their I-hate-Shahid rants off each other.
A friend of Shahid's explains the incident with Sanjay,
"Shahid is a reserved person who doesn't take liberties with any of the senior co-stars. He has always been in awe of Sanjay Dutt and he maintained his distance out of deep respect. His deference was probably miscued by Dutt."
I swear, these old guys in Bollywood are far too up their own butts to see anything.
Once again, apologies for not updating...busy...blah blah...too much work...blah blah blah. You should know all my excuses by now.
Today's stories are about break-ups, and this one in particular is about Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif...otherwise known as 'the couple that never were'. So technically, the two lovebirds can never really break up.
The infamous Shah Rukh and Salman fight has set Kat off, with her finding many other faults in her career-making boyfriend. Katrina is disgusted by Salman's petulant behaviour and apparently, Salman isn't too pleased with Kat himself.
At the start of their relationship and Kat's career, she took advice only from Salman, on which movies she would act in and with which co-stars. Now that she's a name all on her own, she has stopped going to Salman for advice and has even ignored his suggestions.
And Salman has spoken out about his fight, basically saying that he won't comment on it and the press can continue to act like dogs chasing a car...something like that.
I guess Salman really needs to be wanted before he feels love. That's so not healthy.
Have we ever seen all three Khan's on screen together? Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir? Well, even if we never get to see them, we might be seeing two generations of Khan's come together on the big screen.
Hiya all. What can I say whenever I avoid a day or two if updating? My workload has increased unbelievably this semester, I don't always have time to update anymore. Even today, I'm only uploading a few stories. And yes, I'm waffling to make this story look longer than it actually is.
Right now, I'm listening to the Bachna Ae Haseeno songs, which kinda suck...except maybe 'Jogi Mahi'. Anyways, today's story is about Katrina Kaif and how she prefers to remain quiet, even though Singh is Kingg is due to be released soon.
Well, her tongue is selectively busy. She's more than willing to discuss Akshay Kumar and their new movie, but she won't talk about the events of her birthday, whether Salman threw her the part, and especially, whether Salman and Shah Rukh fought.
"I'm a professional and have a big film to talk about. Of course I will. In fact I have a media interaction lined up in a few days for the promotion of Singh Is Kinng".
"But if any journalist wants to ask me about that fight on my birthday party, please don't bother."
