Hrithik is shy around his dad

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Suzanne Khan

Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan

You know what’s worse than making out with your wife in front of your parents? Making out with someone else who isn’t your wife in front of your parents.

Hrithik Roshan may be able to jump between trees and fight fire but when it comes to his dad, he’s a bit shy. Shooting for his new movie Kites with Brazilian model Barbara Mori, Hrithik and Barbara had a sensual scene to shoot. Those kinds of scenes are awkward enough as it is but when Rakesh Roshan was on set, Hrithik couldn’t shoot at all.

So director Anurag Basu asked Rakesh to leave before the shooting could carry on.

Wow, so Hrithik called Suzanne all the way to Las Vegas see him make out with a model. Mean.

Hrithik gets lonely sometimes

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Suzanne Khan

Hrithik and Suzanne

Hrithik Roshan is currently in Las Vegas shooting for his next movie Kites but being so far away from home is taking a toll on the actor.

Even though Rakesh Roshan is there with his son, Hrithik was desperately missing his wife and kids and so, recently asked them to come to Las Vegas to keep him company. Suzanne Roshan, being the obedient wife that she is, soon came.

A source reports,

“His shooting stint was supposed to get over by September end but due to the disruption caused by hurricane Ike in New Mexico, the unit lost 15 days and the shooting schedule had to be extended to October 15.”

“Hrithik had already begun to miss his family a lot, especially his kids. He expressed his desire to get them to Las Vegas and Roshan Sr. arranged for the tickets immediately. Last week, his wife Suzanne along with both their kids flew to Las Vegas to join Hrithik.”

Suzanne doesn’t need to worry about Hrithik being alone with a Brazilian actress. A few more days of shooting and they’ll eventually be back in India to complete the last of the shooting with the movie scheduled to release in May 2009.

Papa Rakesh wants Hrithik to be good

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan

You remember when Dhoom 2 came out and everyone made such a big fuss over the fact that Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai kissed in it? Well, Rakesh Roshan is trying hard to make sure that doesn’t happen again. There will be no namby-pamby is his home productions!

Ok, whole story is that Hrithik Roshan will be working with Barbara Mori in a new rom-com titled Kites. It’s being produced by Rakesh and directed by Anurag Basu and apparently, the two are not seeing eye to eye. Anurag wants a kiss in the movie while Rakesh is vehemently opposed to it.

A source reports,

“All of Anurag’s films are real. He doesn’t shy away from portraying intimacy on screen.

Most of his films have had intimate scenes and he believes the same holds true for Kites.

Rakesh Roshan isn’t too sure if Basu’s treatment will work for Kites. He isn’t too comfortable with the prospect of his son kissing another woman in his home production. The two have been arguing over the issue.”

I know this may come as a shocking revelation, but maybe they want to ask Hrithik and Barbara what they want. It’s always a bit dodgy to have a kiss in an Indian movie but since the movie is about communicating through body language, maybe it could work.

The story in Kites revolves around an Indian man and a Spanish woman who don’t understand each other at all, so the movie and drama relies on body language and expressions…so this is a movie about miming?

Sonam is not into skin-shows…

Posted by tigger in Aditya Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Rakesh Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor

Weirdly enough, Sonam Kapoor is one of the few actresses that is happy that she wasn’t cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan for his next movie.

Rab De Bana Di Jodi (God made this relationship) is Yash Raj’s next attempt at getting a hit and after realising that Kareena and Saif aren’t going to bring in the money, Aditya Chopra has moved back to tried and tested Shah Rukh.

Sonam says that the role was never offered to her to begin with,

“Since the film was announced speculation started about me being in the project. Arrey baba, I was never offered the film! I don’t know where this whole thing started, honestly. I did visit Adi a couple of times like any other actor.

But not for any particular role. Maybe people saw me entering Yashraj. Nowadays even if an actress passes by Yashraj she’s rumoured to have signed a film with them.”

“I had never even approached Adi for this role and I had a reason for it.I know it required someone very Punjabi and young.

I’ve just played a full-on Punjabi kudi, salwar-kameez sharara-gharara and all, in Rakeysh Mehra’s Dilli 6. Even in Saawariya I was in full elaborate Indian clothes. Now I need change of pace..and grace.”

Even though Sonam is looking for a more modern role, she is not into skimpy outfits…after all, her father Anil Kapoor is her adviser and it’s understandable that he wouldn’t want his teenage daughter parading around like that. Sonam is worried about honour too, after she reportedly turned down a Rakesh Roshan project because it asked for a bit too much skin.

“All I’ll say is, I’d never do anything to compromise myself or my family, or any film where I’ve to cringe at the premiere.”

Wow, honestly, I admire her resolve.

Krazzy 4 makes it to theatres

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan

krazzy-4.jpg

After all the ‘tamasha’ yesterday, where at some stage, it didn’t think like Krazzy 4 was going to make it to theatres, or that we wouldn’t see the film in it’s entirety (no Shah Rukh Khan, no Hrithik Roshan), guess what? It made it. And you know what that proves? Money wins…always.

Ram Sampath, the dude who’s jingle was converted into Krazzy 4’s title track ‘Break Free’ settled with the Roshan’s out of court, supposedly for 2 crore (20 million) rupees. I bet he still could have held out for more.

When asked to comment, Rakesh Roshan says,

“I can’t comment on this since it’s a subjudice matter.

All I can say for now is, the release of Krazzy 4 cannot be stalled now under any circumstance. All my prints have already gone to various centres.

We’re treating Krazzy like any of my directorial ventures. Krazzy 4 isn’t as big as Krrish. But it’s just as important for us. It isn’t a slapstick comedy. There’re no double-meaning dialogues. In fact the characters don’t think they’re being funny.”

There have been reports that while the Roshan’s knew that the song was from someone else, it was not deliberately plagiarized as first thought. Apparently, Sony gave them permission to use the song but Sony now says that the letter was issued by mistake. So basically, it’s Sony’s fault for this whole debacle.

The Roshan’s are SO screwed!

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan

Krazzy 4 screwed

Guys, this is a lesson to you all. Don’t steal anyone’s songs because the day before your movie is supposed to be released, he’ll sue you for copyright infringement and then you’ll have no idea what to do, pull the movie to change the prints or risk defying a court order and face jail. Actually, that’s unlikely to happen to you, unless you’re going to be a director. Then just let it be a warning…don’t end up in the same situation as the Roshan’s!

Rakesh Roshan must be seriously disturbed at the moment, because Krazzy 4 is coming out tomorrow and after the copyright infringement case reached the courts, the judge ruled in favour of Ram Sampath, a jingle producer who claims that the tune of the “Break Free” song (performed by both Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan) was ripped off from a tune he composed for a cellphone ad.

The Roshan’s are desperate, their offers increasing hourly for permission to use the song, but the guy isn’t budging. Since film reels have already been sent overseas for international releases, Rakesh Roshan has a catastrophe on his hands, working out how to remove the songs before release.

And this guy’s lawyer is going to take them to the cleaners, he says that monetary compensation wasn’t enough, this was a battle of the big stars versus the small artistes.

“The SMS-s sent by Hrithik establish that they knew the music was not created by them. They have done this knowingly and deliberately.”

I honestly feel sorry for the Roshan’s. They’re facing a little stubborn man with a big greedy lawyer, not a good combination. True, they shouldn’t have copied the tune, but Ram Sampath seems to be looking for a huge amount before he let’s them go. It would be stupid if he insisted that the songs were removed, because I’m sure he won’t get as much as he would have if he had sold it.

Stay tuned, as news breaks.

Oh, and my MovieZen article about Shahid Kapoor and Aziz Mirza.

Hrithik and Shah Rukh aren’t fighting

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan

Why am I telling you this?

Well, apparently, some people did think they were fighting and competing, since they both did the same song in Krazzy 4.

Personally, I like Hrithik Roshan’s version of the song more, but I think that’s just because I’m tired of seeing a 42-year-old, father of two gyrating on the set. So I would rather see a 34-year-old, father of one ‘nach’ing on stage.

Rakesh Roshan has spoken out about the allegations that the Roshan’s and Shah Rukh Khan aren’t getting along…because Hrithik is afraid of Shah Rukh’s biceps, heehee.

“We know what the truth is.In fact I met Shah Rukh at an awards function the other day.

We both laughed over these reports. Maybe a section of the media thinks it knows better. But Shah Rukh, Hrithik and I are above these attempts to create a rift between us.

The fact of the matter is, it was Hrithik’s idea to approach Shah Rukh for the dance number. Why would he suddenly feel threatened by Shah Rukh?”

So basically, there is no problem. Which means this post is about…nothing? Man, philosphy doesn’t make much sense sometimes.

Rakesh got dissed!

Posted by tigger in Aditya Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan

Hrithik and Dad

While things are looking good for Hrithik Roshan, his daddy might be paying for a bit of rudeness and pride that’s now catching up with him. Right, let’s start this story from the beginning, under the guise that I’m trying to explain something to you but it’s actually an opportunity for me to collect my thoughts.

Hrithik’s relationship with his father Rakesh Roshan is a bit strained at the moment, as Rakesh is actually kind of controlling and Hrithik doesn’t know how to remove himself from the situation, therefore preferring to sulk quietly.

The problem began after Dhoom 2, when Papa Rakesh decided that Hrithik would not act in a movie, unless it was co-produced by FilmKraft productions (Rakesh’s own production house). This led to Hrithik losing out on many roles and his father negotiating deals without Hrithik’s consent.

The last straw came when Rakesh rejected Aditya Chopra when he offered Hrithik a role in his upcoming movie. Hrithik remained the obedient son and accepted the decision, though feeling bad enough that since then, he’s been ignoring his father as much as possible.

On the other hand, is it that surprising that Rakesh was dissed by Aditya when he wanted to book Yash Raj studios to film a Krazzy 4 song for Hrithik. Aditya refused point blank, not even bothering to make up some excuse and Rakesh stormed out, to book at some other studio and vows to exact revenge by building his own studio.

My form of revenge would involve C4 and a rocket launcher. Learn from the best Rakesh!

Hrithik is having another baby…

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Suzanne Khan

Suzanne and Hrithik

Or at least, his wife is. Sorry, this story might be a bit delayed but you have to look at the bright side, at least I gave it to you. If I stopped writing, where would you all be without your daily dose of Bollywood mania? Um, you’d go to another site, wouldn’t you? Don’t leave me!!! Please!

It was Rakesh Roshan who admitted that his bahu was pregnant and said,

“Yes one more Roshan is arriving. We just got to hear the news and are thrilled. It doesn’t matter if we have a grandson or a granddaughter anything is welcome as long as the baby is healthy and fine.

So Suzanne Roshan will probably be due in about 8 months or so…in October this year, there’ll be another Roshan baby…Hrithik hopes it’s a girl.

So I’m done for the day…but you’ll be back tomorrow, right? You aren’t leaving me, are you? Don’t forget…tomorrow…same time. Please come back…Come Baaaaaack!

Shah Rukh still a wanted man

Posted by tigger in Arshad Warsi, Diya Mirza, Hrithik Roshan, Juhi Chawla, Rajpal Yadav, Rakesh Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan

Not ‘wanted’ in a criminal sense, just wanted in a superstar turned Item Boy sense. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen sooner than we thought he would. Does anyone even know what his next movie is supposed to be? Oh well, we’ll be seeing him soon in Rakesh Roshan’s Krazzy 4 in an item song number.

Hrithik Roshan, though not acting in the movie will also dance to the same song, though only for promo’s. Shah Rukh’s song will actually appear in the movie.

The movie sounds cute however, being about 4 escapees from a mental hospital who go out to see the world for a day and in the end are left wondering who is really insane. A deep message? Maybe.

Big names in the movie include Arshad Warsi, Juhi Chawla, Diya Mirza and Rajpal Yadav. Oh yay, and I found the video for you guys. I think SRK might be making too big a deal out of this…song sucks and Shah Rukh looks like an idiot with his little ponytail. Very few guys can pull that look off and a 42-year-old father of two shouldn’t try it.
