Poor Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. While shooting a motorcycle scene for Kaminay, the motorcycle skidded from underneath them, throwing Priyanka and Shahid to the ground and leaving Priyanka with multiple scratches and bruises, although Shahid was unharmed. Needless to say, it was Priyanka who was driving at that moment...;-). The road was muddy however, so let's give her a little credit, at least she had the guts to drive a motorbike.

In other Shahid news, while watching Kaminay, if you see someone that doesn't look exactly like Shahid...it's probably because it isn't Shahid. Vishal Bharadwaj has a habit of using body doubles and in a recent shooting for Kaminay, he was forced to use them. A source reports,

“Vishal had no option but to get a lookalike for Shahid at the last minute. The crowd learnt that Shahid was shooting at the station and began gathering there. Vishal was at his wits' end. He had to complete the shooting at Goregaon railway station in one day. Getting permission to shoot from the Railways is very difficult nowadays. So Vishal had to make do with cheat shots, using the lookalike.”

But obviously every time Shahid faces the camera, it is him. Oh well, do whatever you want Vishal, just make the movie come out ASAP!

While some actors and actresses forget their normal lives when they become famous, Shahid Kapoor is not a part of this group. The Paathshala actor has kept in touch with all his old friends and recently surprised a friend with a surprise birthday party.

A college or high school friend of Shahid's recently celebrated his birthday and although Shahid was shooting in Pune for Kaminay with Priyanka Chopra, he still found some time to celebrate with his friend.

A crew member reports,

''Shahid was shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj's Kaminey in Pune. Came 11th August and it was Shahid's childhood friend Shriram's birthday, who lives in Bangalore. Shahid called him to Pune. Shahid just told Shriram that he had some urgent work and needed him to come to Pune. It was only when Shriram came to Pune that he realized that Shahid had thrown a surprise birthday get together."

If that's not sweet, I don't know what is. All I have to say is...lucky friend!

With the consecutive flops of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Laga Chunari Mein Daag, Aaja Nachle, Tashan and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, I think Yash Raj will be seriously rethinking their next few movies. Until they come up with some new gimmicks to make a film work, they've decided to maybe go into the filmi business. That is, they are now going to buy films from other producers.

So the first movie to go on sale is Karan Johar's new film Dostana, that stars Abishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham. I guess Yash Raj are hoping that the K-Jo connection will be enough to make a film a hit...I guess they could try that, but here's the list of gimmicks that didn't pay off.

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom: Throwing together 2 A-listers and 2 B-listers is not a good combination. They are all annoying!
Laga Chanari Mein Daag: How many hits can one girl churn out? So much pressure on Rani.
Aaja Nachle: Bringing back an old Bollywood actress? Nah, that doesn't work either.
Tashan: A new couple dragging in the publicity for their new movie. That backfired badly.
Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic: Rani doesn't have the magic, Saif doesn't have the pyaar.

Guess how much Karan sold Dostana for? A measly 50 crore rupees. Yeah, other studios offered to pay much more for it but I guess Karan decided that he still owed the Chopra's his friendship.

Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra have not only ended their unofficial relationship, but they have also decided to take the battle onto the bigscreen. No, they aren't doing a stupid virtual fight scene like in Love Story 2050, but their new movies are set to be released on the same date.

Another story about a couple that never really came out of the relationship closet. Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra have also broken up, according to some reports.

The relationship has been strained since the flop of Love Story 2050, which Harman banked on as his launch as a Hrithik Roshan look-a-like (helped by some plastic surgery). Apparently it was Harman who was making the effort to make the relationship work, but Priyanka thought it was too far gone to recover. She recently cut him off while he tried to speak to her, declared that it was over and cut the call.

Even I think that's cold...and my heart is made of ice.

That is, he's not giving cheap gifts anymore. Not that there's anything wrong with cheap fluffy teddy bears, it's the thought that counts. Harman Baweja did put a lot of thought into his latest birthday gift for Priyanka Chopra. Was it really her birthday? Wow, it seemed like yesterday that I was writing about it last year!

For this birthday, Harman gave Priyanka a human. No, he's not participating in human trafficking. He knew that Priyanka hadn't seen her best friend for almost a year, so he organised a first-class plane ticket for her friend to come give Priyanka a surprise in Mumbai.

A source reports,

"Harman wanted to make it a really special birthday. He knew Priyanka's hadn't met her best friend since almost a year. Tamanna is a married and a working girl, which makes it difficult for the two sahelis to meet each other often. Beau Harman called Prinks friend and convinced her to take a day off from work and fly down to Mumbai for her birthday. He made all the arrangements for her and sent his driver to fetch her at the airport."

So even the guys with flop films will splurge for birthdays. I hope his credit card didn't fail this time.

Good morning everyone, I have times for a few quick posts today but SC is going to be really lazy this week, mainly because I have so much work to do and don't think I'll have time to update every day but when I can, I'll definitely update. Also, there's something up with the pics today and I don't have the time to find out why I can't upload them.

Anyways, one of the stories is about Harman Baweja, who thought it would be appropriate to kiss his dying girlfriend at the climatic scene in the middle of Love Story 2050, but Priyanka Chopra opted out of it because she doesn't kiss on screen, whether it's her boyfriend or not.

Hope I didn't spoil the story for anyone there, when Harman was asked about the reported kiss, he said,

"How did you get to know about?

It's true both Dad and I felt a kiss would have been most appropriate midway through the narration when the first Priyanka character dies in my arms. Dad had written a kiss into the story here.

I was supposed to kiss her as she dies in my arms. But Priyanka chose not to shoot the kiss. We respected her decision and let it be."

Poor Harman, of course the kiss would have validated the entire story line and the movie would have been a hit because of it. But instead of kissing her, wouldn't it have been better if he was calling an emergency number? I'm not exactly sure how she dies, but seriously, would you rather save her life or get one more make-out session?

I know, I know, the caption has nothing to do with the story, but doesn't that add to the mystery of the blog? It doesn't? Oh well. Onwards, happy Monday all. It's not that happy for me since it's the last week of my holidays, sob, but I'll try and enjoy it anyways.

Recently, Harman Baweja was supposedly reported to have said that Kareena Kapoor is a 'robotic' and boring actress and he's glad that she dropped out of Love Story 2050, to be replaced by Priyanka Chopra. So if LS2050 is a hit, Kareena is going to cry her eyes out. Anyways, Harman says that the comments attributed to him are wrong.

"I'd never speak like that about anyone, least of all someone who's a senior and was gracious enough to work with me when I was just starting out. That she finally opted out of Love Story 2050 doesn't take away from the fact that we got along really well,"

"All I'll say is, I'd never talk like that about anyone. Kareena is someone I truly admire. And if people want to spoil my relations with her, let them try. It won't work."

Harman apparently felt so bad that while he was out on a promotional event, he took a few minutes to type a quick text to Kareena saying he was sorry and that he would never speak about her like that. Kareena, instead of raging and ranting as I would have expected, supposedly sent back a text saying that she understood how the industry works and she doesn't care what the media says.

How...boring. I revel in fighting, violence and misery.
