Maybe I should start calling Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan the 3 A's or AAA. Ok, I'm calling them AAA from right now and I'm copyrighting the phrase.
Yesterday morning, while most of us were still warm in bed, the AAA's took a walk...a long walk...a four hour walk...a bare-footed walk...across Mumbai to visit the Siddhivinayak temple. I'm not exactly sure what was the purpose of the walk, although it's not for the success of Sarkar Raj.
Amitabh Bachchan
writes on his blog,
The walk last night or rather early this morning to SiddhiVinayak was fulfilling. Walking bare foot has its own hazards but where there is faith and resolve, obstacles seem to dwindle away. The tar roads, still warm from the aggressive sun in the day are fairly comfortable but the cobbled portions due to its uneveness causes some discomfort. The people were lovely. They come around, hundreds of them all walking in the same direction towards a common goal. There is excitement among them and smiles and a certain decorum. Intermittently, shouts of ‘Ganpati Bappa’ break the general silence. And the entire mass of people join in in unison -’Morya !’
Even I have to say, his post conveys a whole range of spiritual feeling. Read it, it sounds good. And basically, he did that whole walk because he wanted to thank God...
In other AAA news, the 'Unforgettable Tour' is kicking off on the 18th of July and no, there is no Shahid Kapoor involved, but Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta and Madhuri Dixit will participate.
Abhishek talks about the tour,
"Aishwarya will be performing on some of her most popular numbers, including on the 'Dola re..' number from 'Devdas' with Madhuri Dixit. I am particularly thrilled about performing on the item number 'Kajra re' from 'Bunty Aur Babli' with my dad and Aishwarya,"
And finally, the stories about the Bachchan and Khan rift continues, as Karan Johar celebrated his birthday a few days ago, inviting both the Bachchan's and the Khan's. Big A and Jaya didn't attend, but Abhi-Ash were around. But Ash refused to acknowledge Shah Rukh Khan and made her own little group in the corner, didn't circulate and Karan had to keep running from one place to another trying to be a good host...
Poor guy, and it's pathetic how supposed "big stars" act like petulant kids.

Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri Dixit is officially done with Bollywood. The
Dil to Pagal Hai star thinks it's time to step down from the industry after
Aaja Nachle bombed and she was ignored at an airport.

Well, they can't keep a whole show together on their own, so reports have come out that the Bachchans (Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya) will be joined by Madhuri Dixit and at various stages as the 'Unforgettable' show tours, certain guest stars will also participate, including Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor.
Madhuri is really looking forward to joining the stars, a source close to her reporting
"For Madhuri, it'd be the easiest thing in the world for her to join the concerts in the US as she is based there,"
Aw man, now I wish I could see it. Stupid America, it's so far away!

Madhuri Dixit
Hey guys, I'm back...and hopefully updates will be regular again...well, more or less, but I'm going to try my best.
Now back to Bollywood gossip. Madhuri Dixit's
Aaja Nachle hasn't had the greatest of starts at the box office, but there's nothing like controversy to pick up some viewers. After opening disappointedly all over India, some people in Uttar Pradesh, Punkab and Haryana feel that the title song has lyrics that create negative impressions about the community and so
Aaja Nachle was banned in those states...until Yash Chopra apologised and everyone forgave him.
The words were: "Bazar mein machi hai maramar; bole mochi bhi khud ko sunar" (There is so much chaos in the market that even a cobbler is calling himself a jeweler).
And these were removed, leaving everyone content. Though for someone who doesn't live in India, won't making a fuss reaffirm the stereotypes? Um, I'm not sure why that makes any sense...does it?
This is what happens when you update late at night!

But she doesn't want to! Madhuri Dixit, who currently lives in the US, is coming back to Mumbai to promote her new movie
Aaja Nachle, but it took a lot of convincing to get her there because she didn't really want to have much to do with the movie.
Now you know there's something wrong with a movie if the lead actress decides that she doesn't like it. Supposedly Madhuri wasn't happy with how the movie turned out and it took a lot of convincing by Yash Chopra to make her haul herself back to India to promote the movie. Madhuri is making a comeback after 5 years, last being seen in
Devdas with Shah Rukh Khan.
Maybe I'm a bit biased, but I've always liked the movies directed or produced by Aditya Chopra, so I don't think it can be all that bad. Let's wait...it's coming out on the 30th of this month.

Madhuri Dixit,
Preity Zinta,
Vidya Balan

Well, that's a relief but I bet all you guys are too too disappointed. Preity Zinta has been cast in
Suryamukhi, a biopic based on the life of controversial painter Raja Ravi Verma. While Madhiri Dixit and Vidya Balan were preferred for the role, Preity bagged it...after a few little changes were made to the script that required nudity.
Preity will be playing the role of a woman with whom the painter had an affair with, and one scene was him painting her nude. The role supposedly requires intensity...I'm not sure how cut out Preity is for that, she's too bubbly and sweet. Preity loves the role however, so we'll see how she pulls it off...get it, pulls it off...oh wait, they cut the nudity out, right? Nevermind then.
For all you curious ones, it in understood that the nude painting muse scene will be represented symbolically. I'm not suer what's the symbolic representation of a nude woman, but we'll see.

Divya Dutta,
Madhuri Dixit

Well, not ordinary people (though that would be a good idea for a reality show) but her co-stars.
Madhuri Dixit is making a come-back to the silver screen with her new movie
Aaja Nachle (Let's Dance), acting with Divya Dutta, who under Madhuri's strict eye has lost 5 kgs and is well on her way to being thin, toned and fit.
The diet regime lasted for 15 days and did wonders for her helping her to tone her body. The diet was the result of Madhuri’s insistance.
Divya eats six small portions comprising cereals, green vegetables and fruits throughout the day. This has been instrumental in her transition from fat to fit.
Carbohydrates, oily curries and junk food are a strict no-no. She has also been sweating it out with a trainer in tow her last meal for the day is around 8.30 pm. Apparently even Madhuri follows a similar diet.
Once again ladies, be healthy, but don't be stupid. Madhuri's diet is quite healthy but a few carbs never hurt anyone. I might not be a doctor but I'm becoming a psychologist...that's almost the same thing, because I deal with health of the mind...I can expand that to the body, can't I?
