The Roshan’s are SO screwed!

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan

Krazzy 4 screwed

Guys, this is a lesson to you all. Don’t steal anyone’s songs because the day before your movie is supposed to be released, he’ll sue you for copyright infringement and then you’ll have no idea what to do, pull the movie to change the prints or risk defying a court order and face jail. Actually, that’s unlikely to happen to you, unless you’re going to be a director. Then just let it be a warning…don’t end up in the same situation as the Roshan’s!

Rakesh Roshan must be seriously disturbed at the moment, because Krazzy 4 is coming out tomorrow and after the copyright infringement case reached the courts, the judge ruled in favour of Ram Sampath, a jingle producer who claims that the tune of the “Break Free” song (performed by both Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan) was ripped off from a tune he composed for a cellphone ad.

The Roshan’s are desperate, their offers increasing hourly for permission to use the song, but the guy isn’t budging. Since film reels have already been sent overseas for international releases, Rakesh Roshan has a catastrophe on his hands, working out how to remove the songs before release.

And this guy’s lawyer is going to take them to the cleaners, he says that monetary compensation wasn’t enough, this was a battle of the big stars versus the small artistes.

“The SMS-s sent by Hrithik establish that they knew the music was not created by them. They have done this knowingly and deliberately.”

I honestly feel sorry for the Roshan’s. They’re facing a little stubborn man with a big greedy lawyer, not a good combination. True, they shouldn’t have copied the tune, but Ram Sampath seems to be looking for a huge amount before he let’s them go. It would be stupid if he insisted that the songs were removed, because I’m sure he won’t get as much as he would have if he had sold it.

Stay tuned, as news breaks.

Oh, and my MovieZen article about Shahid Kapoor and Aziz Mirza.

Hrithik and Shah Rukh aren’t fighting

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan

Why am I telling you this?

Well, apparently, some people did think they were fighting and competing, since they both did the same song in Krazzy 4.

Personally, I like Hrithik Roshan’s version of the song more, but I think that’s just because I’m tired of seeing a 42-year-old, father of two gyrating on the set. So I would rather see a 34-year-old, father of one ‘nach’ing on stage.

Rakesh Roshan has spoken out about the allegations that the Roshan’s and Shah Rukh Khan aren’t getting along…because Hrithik is afraid of Shah Rukh’s biceps, heehee.

“We know what the truth is.In fact I met Shah Rukh at an awards function the other day.

We both laughed over these reports. Maybe a section of the media thinks it knows better. But Shah Rukh, Hrithik and I are above these attempts to create a rift between us.

The fact of the matter is, it was Hrithik’s idea to approach Shah Rukh for the dance number. Why would he suddenly feel threatened by Shah Rukh?”

So basically, there is no problem. Which means this post is about…nothing? Man, philosphy doesn’t make much sense sometimes.

Commercialised Cricket…Hrithik jumps on the bandwagon

Posted by tigger in Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Shah Rukh Khan

Another morning whare I don’t want to do anything. But being on campus, seeing everyone doing their assignments, inspires me. Inspires me to do as little as possible, heehee.

Ok, enough with the narcissistic reflections. Let’s talk Bollywood. This is the part where you jump in happiness and yell “yay!”. And then I laugh at you for doing that, because frankly, you look silly.

Anyways, the story today is that IPL cricket is totally being commercialised and I totally blame Shah Rukh Khan. He started it and now everyone else wants a celebrity to promote their team. The people of Mumbai, your team ambassador is Hrithik Roshan. Well, it could be worse, I guess.

A source from the team says,

“We have chosen Hrithik to be the face of our team and shoot for the IPL anthem because he has the right persona and attitude,”

And that attitude is the love of money? If it was that, then even I would be team ambassador. And I’d charge less than Hrithik…but on the other hand, no one will know who I am. They’ll just ask “Who’s that gorgeous girl in the video?” and I’ll be famous and marry Shahid Kapoor and then…wake up. Day-dreaming is fun.

And for the people in Bangalore, you get Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone as team ambassadors. What do they have to do with cricket? Does anyone honestly care?

And that’s post 1 for the day, be back later with more insanity.

Oh, and MovieZen post for today: Rakhi is delusional.

Darsheel sucks, sucks, sucks

Posted by tigger in Aamir Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Darsheel Safary, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukherji, Shah Rukh Khan

D Safary

You know what sucks? Updating when you’re as sleepy as I am. If you hear any snoring during the post, don’t worry about it, it’s just me taking a little nap.

The first post today will revolve around Darsheel Safary (the Taare Zameen Par kid), his interview and me making fun of him. You’re probably wondering shouldn’t a grown-up (technically) be ashamed picking on a little kid? The answer is, no, I’m not.

So let’s see what the brat has to say:

Darsheel, you must be tired of all the praise.
No! In fact you’re the first guy to be asking me this.

So how does it feel?
Nice, very nice. (chuckles).

Don’t you hate arrogant little kids?

What kind of response are you getting [to the movie]?
Everyone is saying, I’m amazing amazing amazing….

Hence the title of the post.

What are the friends in your building saying?
I don’t have any friends in my building.

What about your friends in school?
Right now we’ve vacation. So I’m not in touch with my friends. I didn’t call them for the movie because they’re all gone here and there. I’ll ask them how they liked me when school reopens.

Read: No friends whatsoever.

Do you feel like a star?
Ummmmm….I think so. I had so much fun with my co-stars. You know what? (excitedly) At night after shooting was wrapped up I’d party with my co-stars Tanay Cheda and Sanchet Engineer (who play Darsheel’s best friend and brother, respectively).

The other kids had to sleep at 9 pm. But the three of us partied till 3 am. Aamir Uncle used to get very angry the next morning.

An 11-year-old partying? With what, his teddy bear and a glass of chocolate milk? And hitting on all the hot preschool girls? Score!

How was it working with Aamir?
I had so much fun! He isn’t at all proud. He’s down-to-earth. He doesn’t behave like a big star.

Learn from him, kid.

So do you want to be an actor when you grow up?
I’ll decide when I grow up. Right now I don’t know whether I want to be an actor. Now I just want to study. No more movies for me. Half the day I’m doing my homework and going to school. But (his voice brightens) if I get an offer with Hrithik Roshan I’ll do it.

You’re Hrithik’s fan?
I’m a HUGE Hrithik Roshan fan. I also like Shah Rukh and Aamir.

And actresses?
Overall, I like Kareena Kapoor. But for acting I like Rani Mukherjee. And for expressions I like Aishwarya Rai.

Do I need any more reasons to hate him?

And how do you rate yourself?
Nice very nice. I liked myself. My 6-year old sister cried when she saw the teachers beating me up in the film.

Your sister is a baby.
No she isn’t a baby!

So are you.
(haughtily) I am not a baby, okay?

Whatever you say…baby. Yup, I’m petty like that.

Rahul and Mallika: A fun new movie

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan, Mallika Sherawat, Rahul Bose

Rahul and Mallika

For all those who loved Pyaar Ke Side Effects, guess what? Rahul Bose and Mallika Sherawat are back with a new film, due out…I don’t know when exactly. It’s called Maan Gaye Mugal-e-Azam (The King has accepted).

But the story revolves around a theater group that performs different plays, one of them being the love story of Salim and Anarkali. I’m assuming that Rahul and Mallika play those parts. Though I don’t know how happy this movie is going to be, since the story of Anarkali and Salim doesn’t end well. She’s supposedly buried in a well by Emperor Akbar (yup, that same guy played by Hrithik Roshan in Jhoda-Akbar) because she was a dancing girl and his son Salim shouldn’t marry below his rank. On the other hand, it looks like the King will be OK with it this time around.

But enough with the Romeo-Juliet crap, Rahul is excited by the film and says,

“Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam’ is a spoofy and black comedy. If we look for a genre it’d have to be the ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’ kind of cinema,”

And on being back with Mallika,

“She’s just not the person she’s made out to be. I’m happy that both the films she has done with me… ‘Pyar Ke Side Effects’ and ‘…Mughal-e-Azam’ take Mallika very far away from her image. It’s also my first full-on masala film and I had a blast.”

Can’t wait for it to come out…might take a while though, so don’t hold your breath.

Oh, and by the way, 1 of today’s 4 post is an April Fool’s joke. Take your pick :-D.

Hrithik’s Krazzy 4 song is out

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan

And the first post of the day shows my extreme laziness…it’s almost the weekend and my holidays are almost over, what do you expect besides extreme lethargy?

So while you wait (yeah, right) for me to carry on updating, check out Hrithik Roshan dancing in a promo for Krazzy 4. Typical Hrithik moves. More later.

Hrithik values a hug above an oscar

Posted by tigger in Dilip Kumar, Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik winning

No really, I’m not kidding. Hrithik Roshan has been critically acclaimed since the release of Jodha-Akbar with critics stating that Hrithik brought a certain air to the character that no one else could have.

Some have even said that he deserves to win an Oscar for the role but there’s something that means a lot more than an Oscar to the green-eyed superstar: A hug from legend Dilip Kumar.

“It’s overwhelming - When Sairaji called to invite me over to her home because Dilip uncle wanted to give me a hug that was bigger for me than the Oscars.”

While the love is going around, can I get a hug from Hrithik?

And that’s it…I think I need a nap.

Rakesh got dissed!

Posted by tigger in Aditya Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan

Hrithik and Dad

While things are looking good for Hrithik Roshan, his daddy might be paying for a bit of rudeness and pride that’s now catching up with him. Right, let’s start this story from the beginning, under the guise that I’m trying to explain something to you but it’s actually an opportunity for me to collect my thoughts.

Hrithik’s relationship with his father Rakesh Roshan is a bit strained at the moment, as Rakesh is actually kind of controlling and Hrithik doesn’t know how to remove himself from the situation, therefore preferring to sulk quietly.

The problem began after Dhoom 2, when Papa Rakesh decided that Hrithik would not act in a movie, unless it was co-produced by FilmKraft productions (Rakesh’s own production house). This led to Hrithik losing out on many roles and his father negotiating deals without Hrithik’s consent.

The last straw came when Rakesh rejected Aditya Chopra when he offered Hrithik a role in his upcoming movie. Hrithik remained the obedient son and accepted the decision, though feeling bad enough that since then, he’s been ignoring his father as much as possible.

On the other hand, is it that surprising that Rakesh was dissed by Aditya when he wanted to book Yash Raj studios to film a Krazzy 4 song for Hrithik. Aditya refused point blank, not even bothering to make up some excuse and Rakesh stormed out, to book at some other studio and vows to exact revenge by building his own studio.

My form of revenge would involve C4 and a rocket launcher. Learn from the best Rakesh!

Hrithik did something to his hair…

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik new hair

As hot as Hrithik Roshan is, the hair is not looking good. Though seeing him in stubble again is good…remember his debut in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai? -Tigger melts into puddle on floor-

The light streaks in his hair don’t do much for him and as I’ve insisted many times before (ok, like once) that Indians shouldn’t mess around with hair colours. Our natural hair colour rocks…though at least we can be glad of small mercies. At least the streaks aren’t blonde.

Otherwise, Jodha-Akbar is still climbing at the box-office and the controversy around the story has died down, somewhat. Do you think Hrithik will care if we make a petition asking him for his old hair back? Or would it work if I made the petition and signed it multiple times under different names? Mwuhahaha…yeah, I’m evil like that.

Hrithik is having another baby…

Posted by tigger in Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Suzanne Khan

Suzanne and Hrithik

Or at least, his wife is. Sorry, this story might be a bit delayed but you have to look at the bright side, at least I gave it to you. If I stopped writing, where would you all be without your daily dose of Bollywood mania? Um, you’d go to another site, wouldn’t you? Don’t leave me!!! Please!

It was Rakesh Roshan who admitted that his bahu was pregnant and said,

“Yes one more Roshan is arriving. We just got to hear the news and are thrilled. It doesn’t matter if we have a grandson or a granddaughter anything is welcome as long as the baby is healthy and fine.

So Suzanne Roshan will probably be due in about 8 months or so…in October this year, there’ll be another Roshan baby…Hrithik hopes it’s a girl.

So I’m done for the day…but you’ll be back tomorrow, right? You aren’t leaving me, are you? Don’t forget…tomorrow…same time. Please come back…Come Baaaaaack!
