Does it count if she influences me to hate her more?

Magazine Verve has done a feature article on the 50 most influential women in India. While it isn't a competition, just profiles on the 50 ladies, did they not have enough people to put in the list or was the writer on crack?

While I understand why women like Sonia Ghandi and Parmeshwar Godrej (she's a philanthropist, yes, I looked it up) have made it on the list, why is Kareena there? Why is Gauri Khan there? Yes, these women play a role in the entertainment industry, but it's not like they're even actors/philanthropists like Angelina or Bono. The fact that Katrina Kaif also made the list seems to be an insult to India...or is that just me?

I don't get this list. Anyways, Kareena appears on the cover of this months issue. Here's the idea for next month's feature: Most over-exposed celebrities...Kareena can appear on that cover too.

At the recent Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in Mumbai, most stars, including Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, turned out to bid on their favourite cricket players. Others attending were actress Preity Zinta (who hasn't been in the news for ages) and boyfriend Ness Wadia. The two lovebirds spent a pretty 40 crore (400 million) rupees on players including Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene, Sri Lankan wicket-keeper Kumar Sangakkara, Australian fast bowler Brett Lee and India's Irrfan Pathan for their Mohali team while Shah Rukh owns the Culcatta team. Wow...maybe Preity should have spent that on more surgery? At 33, she's looking older than her age. Gravity is cruel, hey?

Well, he will be, when the islands are built up to scratch and Gauri Khan can decorate the place exactly how she wants it. Shah Rukh Khan was recently given the keys to his new homes on The Palm Islands, Emirates of Dubai, United Arab Emirates...but he'll only be moving in this time next year. Shah Rukh Khan has beaten out other big-name stars such as the Beckhams, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt to get some of that prime real estate. And the part that will really make you cry? It's all for free! Shah Rukh is the inofficial ambassador for The Palm Islands and was gifted the property by the government of Dubai...along with free water and power bills...and the free clothings, cars and food...so basically, all SRK has to do is go vegetate there...let a few people see him...let those few people pay million of dollars to be his neigbours and Dubai makes back all they invested in the king of Bollywood! Oh, and did I mention his kids also get schooling for free? Even though he says that he has no plans to leave India...there's a life of opulence and decadence waiting for him in Dubai. Whatever Shah Rukh...I hope you get fat sitting around and doing nothing the whole day! No, I'm not bitter...I'm very happy for Shah Rukh. I always knew he'd make it big, after watching that first goofy performance in Dilwalhe Dulhaniya Le Jayenge...he hasn't changed since then.

Shah Rukh Khan's wife has finally decided to take advantage of her filmi connections by appearing in Farah Khan's upcoming Om Shanti Om. Mrs. (Shah Rukh... I'm pretty sure Farah is straight) Khan is also producing the film and will appear in the end credits sequence. Farah Khan says,

"She was supposed to shoot for me for Main Hoon Na too, but last time she ditched me because she was too shy to come in front of the camera, but this time she finally agreed. She said she's doing it only for me but I am sure her husband had something to do with it since she's the official producer of the film.”

That's all you have to do, to get a part in a stinking Bollywood movie? Be Shah Rukh Khan's wife!!? So all those hours I spent posing naked outside Farah's house were... for nothing? How could she?!! Especially after she called in an audience... getting my hopes up and all. Sure the audience were the police. And sure they didn't exactly "watch me" (Unless "watch" suddenly means "beat savagely with big sticks"... because if it does ... They watched me for ages). But still... I thought it meant something.
