Akshay Kumar is very happy, waiting for the release of Singh is Kinng, so maybe he's feeling a bit confident. At the moment, he's one of the most successful actors in Bollywood, along with Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
It seems when a movie is about to be released, everyone starts caring what actor's opinions are. When asked who he thought the real King was, Akki replied,
"Bachchan has been in the film industry over over 35 years and he is the real king. There are many who are around for 15-20 years and like to call themselves king. There is only one king and he is Amitabh Bachchan. I am merely acting in a film called Singh is Kinng,"
And Akki is really inviting controversy here since it doesn't take a genius to work out who's the 15-20 year old veteran who's NOT king. Wait...who's he talking about...?

Anyways, people at Mumbai Airport were quite surprised when Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai stepped off a plane from New York. I guess they're a common sight there but since the two are supposed to be touring for the 'Unforgettable Tour', it was a strange thing that they came back to see the heat of Mumbai. Apparently the Guru couple needed to be in Delhi for an unavoidable function.
"Yes this is crazy ! Abhishek and Aishwarya have travelled the other way over the Pacific to Shanghai and then to Mumbai and Delhi for an event for Omega, which could not be postponed.Then they'll travel back the next day to be in time for the show in Houston."
Amitabh Bachchan has been knocked down by a flu and fever in Los Angeles, while on the Unforgettable tour. He recently sent a blog post via text messaging (hey, maybe I should start doing that, I would update 20 times a day!) where he said:
"Miserable.. In bed.. Down with cold and fever.. Medication on. . Desperate to be well before concert.. Damn."
Oooh, Amitabh Bachchan said the 'D' word! What a bad example to all the people on his blog! Kidding. I'm out of here, longer and less crappy posts tomorrow, hopefully.
Well, the Unforgettable Tour is almost ready to kick off and finally, we're 100% sure who's going to be in the show. Unfortunately, all of them have really bad lines!
After confessing that he had started smoking again because of the stress associated with publicizing Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Aamir Khan had promised fans that he would definitely give up again once the movie released.
Guess what? He's still smoking, though trying harder not to smoke in public. Maybe he's smoking with the anxiety associated with what he'll do with all the money his nephew's film is raking in. You know, a lot of money is a curse!
And in other news, the Amitabh Bachchan-Aamir Khan crack has finally been repaired when Amitabh apparently called Aamir on some promotional event of his movie and was nice to him. Some might call it a publicity event, some might call it an alive branch, but I call it a well-planned psychological warfare...Aamir will be off his guard and then Amitabh can take him down...whoohoo! Celebrity boxing!
And I don't mean she's just talking. Shilpa Shetty was recently at a charity auction in London where things like a date with the British Prime Minister were up for grabs but since not a lot of money was being bid, Shilpa walked onto the stage, took the mike and announced,
"Come on people - this is for charity. The winner will get a kiss from me...But it will be on the cheek. I don't want my effigies burnt again."
That would be in reference to the huge debacle of Richard Gere's kiss when they were both campaigning for AIDS awareness in India and people tried to arrest her for public indecency.
Anyways, the dinner date with Gordon Brown was eventually won with a bid of 12500 pounds and the guy who won got a few kisses from Shilpa, on the cheek.
By the way, do you know that someone paid 25 000 pounds to meet Amitabh Bachchan? Along with a walk-on role in some movie and a trip to India...but the point is, Amitabh Bachchan is worth more than the British PM!
We've all kinda gotten use to Bebo-Saif's fights but this is the first time that a marital dispute has been reported between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. Strangely enough, this fight also took place during the IIFA weekend but it took them so long to report it.
The story is that Ash is kind-of a loudmouth and this got on Abhi's nerves while he was with her. Even though he told her to calm down and speak more lowly, she ignored him and continued to squawk and squeal.
When the left the festivities and returned to their hotel, it was there that Abhishek supposedly confronted her about her need to draw attention to herself (touchy) and they hashed it out in the middle of the foyer and eventually Abhi asked security guards to escort Ash out of the building back to her room. And no one says when he returned there himself.
Oh well, I lost my bet that they would break up within a year a while ago...maybe they're in it for the long term and we can tell our kids about them as my parents talk about Amitabh and Jaya.
A few days ago, I failed to report that Abhishek Bachchan was accused of slapping a spot boy on the sets of Drona. Supposed eyewitnesses say that Abhishek was acting like a diva on the sets, demanding that the spot boy fetch things from his car, make his tea and do menial jobs. Later he told the boy to put off a fan (dunno why, since I'm pretty sure that India is scorching) and when the boy didn't do that, Abhishek lost his temper and slapped him. The source continues to say that the boy then quit the set because he was so hurt and insulted. You know what he should have done? Threatened to press charges.
"Abhishek does not have the ability to strike a fly. He does have the ability though to attract incongruous and totally incorrect press. There has been absolutely no such incident on set. It is a fabrication of the highest order."
He carries on to say that there is a conspiracy plot where the media has set itself out to malign him and his family. Um, in a way that's true, but that's true on any celebrity. They will have fans and not fans and people who purposely go out of their way to make up stories to make them look good or bad. Either way, I doubt the rumour-mongers have anything personal against the Bachchan's, it's just a matter of selling the magazine, newspaper or bringing the traffic onto a website. "Abhishek Bachchan lashes out against an innocent lad" sounds way more juicy than "A story which was never a story".
I, on the other hand, am a responsible blogge--- HAHAHA, nevermind.
And I don't mean he's getting fat. That's Abhishek's problem.
The producers of Amitabh Bachchan's new film, Aladdin, are not impressed by their star actor's behaviour.
Firstly, he released pictures from the set before the movie even started it's official promotions. You can check out the pics here and here. They also don't appreciate the fact that he gave out production secrets like the green screen in the back is the place where they digitally insert the background. I never knew that was a secret...
Secondly and finally (mental note: learn how to make up new points), Amitabh has also asked for more money and has insisted at some moments that scenes had been shot perfectly when the director wished to shoot them again.
Well, how much can people argue? He's still Big B.
We're used to Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao acting together but it looks like we might see Shahid and another Ami together, Big B that is, together in a modernization of Oliver Twist.
