I still haven't watched Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, but I honestly thought it would be a decent hit, because it seemed to cater towards a younger and family demographic. But then I saw the 'Lazy Lamhe' song and I have a question; what was Kunal Kohli thinking by putting a writhing, bikini-clad Amisha Patel in a family movie? What was he hoping, that because of that song, he would bring in an older male demographic?
So it makes sense to me that the movie flopped big time and Saif Ali Khan is now refusing to work with Kunal again. Saif had originally promised to act in Kunal's next movie, but since the reception of TPTM, Saif is avoiding Kunal's calls and it's assumed that he won't be doing a second movie.
As for Kunal, some reports suggest that he's very depressed at the failure of the film and people have even seen (and ignored him) at a not-five-star cafe in Mumbai, when just two years ago, they were mobbing him at 5-star restaurants.
Wow, if I had a heart, I would almost feel sorry for the guy.
Is a good sign when you decide that now you're just one name? Is it a good sign to change your name?
We know of a few actors who prefer names contrary to the ones they were named with, like Salman Khan (Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan) and Mallika Sherawat (Reema Lamba, thanks to Locustwillow for that information byte), but other actors are trying out a new thing. Just having one name.
Amisha Patel now wants to be known as Ameesha, just Ameesha. No one is exactly sure why she wants to do it with Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic director Kunal Kohli just saying that Amisha Ameesha, just wanted to be credited with one name and he didn't have a problem with that. Some people feel that it may have something to do with Numerology, you know, the idea that numbers, letters and their placement will make your movie a hit or your acting less terrible...
Anyways, so Ameesha is now joins the ranks of Madonna, Cher, Pink, Jewel...Satan.
While most of us are content to laugh at the flailing careers of some of the actors and actresses in Bollywood, people like Aditya Chopra are really good samaritans, wishing to make the people around them a success.
Amisha Patel got to see Aditya Chopra as she was working for Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic under the Yash Raj banner and he's committed herself to get her career back on track. He signed her up for other Yash Raj productions and has forced the actress to pull out of Billoo Barber starring Shah Rukh Khan, where she played the wife of Irrfan Khan's character.
Even though Amisha's role in the movie was small, she took it because she'd get to have a few scenes with Kind Khan. Aditya was having none of that and made her pull out because according to him, she could only be a successful actress if she stopped taking small and inconsequential roles like her role in Bhool Bhulaiya. Amisha is flattered by Aditya's attention obviously, though Rani might have a few reasons to be concerned.
As for the role that Amisha gave up, that went to Lara Dutta.

Let's start with a video...which means I have less to write. Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Amisha Patel and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic director Kunal Kohli gave orphan kids a night to remember when they performed the songs from the coming-out-soon movie last Friday.
Since the movie is about four orphan kids, it only seems appropriate. Watch the video for cast interviews and little clips from the evening.

Happy Monday everyone, hope it's better than Amisha Patel's. No, no one tried to murder her. You have to be important to be murdered, you know. But she did collapse due to food poisoning.
This comes after reports that Amisha had lost a lot of weight for her new movie. If Lindsay Lohan had used the excuse of food poisoning and was really thin, you would definitely know she was anorexic/bulimic. But because this is Bollywood and we believe our actresses, Amisha ate some weird food and was hospitalised.
Seriously, how many times do we have to tell you? Don't eat food from street vendors. Yeah, it's yummy but that's only because it's unhealthy and unhygienic. Next time you want street-type food, just before you cook for yourself, go rub your hands in some soil. Voila! Street-vendor food, right in the comfort of your own home.
That's a bit harsh, but that's what I do when people don't support me. But if I can't hurt them, then I bear a grudge my whole life. So I'm polite to their faces but pull my tongue behind them. That's bad girl to you, right there!
Anyways, the story is that Shah Rukh Khan used his considerable muscle (hypothetically I mean, not those steroid-filled lumps) to make sure that he acted in his new movie with old pal Juhi Chawla and not Amisha Patel.
Billoo Barber, Shah Rukh's next movie also stars Irrfan Khan as Billoo and Amisha was meant to be his wife. Not happening though. The movie is directed by Priyadarshan and is meant to be a modernised story of lord Krishna.
Amisha did have a small role in Priyadarshan's previous film Bhool Bhulaiya which she complained about, insisting that she wasn't given enough screen time and enough space on promotional posters.
Other reports suggest that it was Amisha who opted out of the role because it was too insignificant for her. Either way, she's really in no position to question a role in a SRK movie.
So another wannabe bites the dust.
As the A-List of Bollywood flock to the premiere. Besides the cast of the movie, most of Bollywood's old families were there, including Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Akshaye Khanna, Kangana Ranaut, Diya Mirza, Lara Dutta, Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, Amisha Patel, Sushmita Sen, Soha Ali Khan and Siddharth.
Guess who wasn't there? Obviously the cast of Om Shanti Om, who were a bit too busy getting ready for their own premiere. Too have a looksy as all the stars, click here. Awww, don't they all look pretty. It's like a wedding...without the yummy food and no one is getting screwed for life. Just joking...I love weddings. I'm not sure if I want to be the one getting married just yet though.
The storyline...which wasn't particularly clear before sounds a bit Romeo and Juliet-esque to me. Like the star-crossed lovers and madness stemming from rejection. At least they didn't kill themselves...I hope they didn't do that. I hate sad movies.
Fun fact: Saif and Kareena were holding on for dear life...and Shahid was there too.
-Giggle- Akshay Kumar is so funny! He's like Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams and Rowan Atkinson combined, like the uber funny monkey of Bollywood. While his leading ladies refuse to be pranked by him, he just keeps doing it! -hysterical laughter- He should have his own show "You got Akki'd!" It's a best seller, I tell you.
Oh well, that's enough with the sarcasm. I will admit that maybe Akshay Kumar's attampts at being a prankster are better than other people's, like Daniel Radcliffe who changes the language on his co-stars mobiles and then thinks he's freakin' hilarious when he's freakin' retarded.
Anyways, Akshay pranked Bhool Bhuliya co-stars Vidya Balan and Amisha Patel by getting his personal trainer to follow him around with a video camera on set for a few days, then telling the girls it was a TV reporter and it would be so great if they gave interviews. Once the girls did, he and his trainer laughed uproariously when he revealed to them who he was.
"The ladies were fuming, but at the same time they just couldn't stop laughing either. Everybody on the sets had a good laugh,"
I guess it's one of those jokes where you just had to be there.
Amisha Patel is not having a good time. Her last movie flopped at the box office and just in case she's unlucky, the director and producer decided it was better that she wasn't shown on promotional posters and CD's. The result is a very pissed off Amisha.
Amisha is the lead in the movie with Akshay Kumar (who by the way seems to be everywhere now a days, he's like the parasite of Bollywood). Unfortunately, Amisha is shown as second string, pictured away from Akshay and Vidya (who's the love interest of second lead male Shiney Ahuja) is shown right next to the main man. Amisha is seriously not amused, but can't do much about it right now, since the posters and other junk have already been printed.
Director Priyadarshan comments about the covers but fails to explain why his lead actress was shown this way.
"I have seen the posters and the CD covers you are referring to, and if Amisha is hurt and feels let down then she has every right to be. These kind of things do let you down."
Is this a not so subtle way of saying "You suck but I'm sorry"?
