Ages and ages ago, I wrote about a movie that was being planned, a modernization of Devdas, but that film was supposed to have Soha Ali Khan and Lara Dutta. Now the trailer of Dev.D has emerged and it shows Abhay Deol as Devdas with some newcomers in the role of Paro and Chandramukhi.
Basically, the movie looks like a wasted and hammered Abhay Deol wandering around…it might be interesting though, check it out.
Guys, today I have loads of work, so unfortunately, there’ll just be a few quick updates and I’m out of here for the day.
Today’s Lara Dutta’s birthday…she turns…old?
But Lara has loads of stuff happening, that a birthday is just another day to celebrate. Lara will acting with Shah Rukh Khan in Billoo Barber and the remake of Devdas later on in the year…wait, aren’t they already making that with Abhay Deol? I’m confused.
In response to reports that Lara is dating Dino Morea, she insists that her true love story involves her and a cup off coffee.
“No, I and Dino are not in a relationship,”
“Dino is a good friend of both me and Kelly. We used to hang out together. I am very fond of him and that’s it.”
And the coffee?
Lara has become a fan of Gloria Jean’s Coffee…but apparently, she isn’t the brand ambassador so why does she keep going on about how great it is? See, this is what happens when you get old…a cup of coffee is now fascinating!
Now I know I didn’t watch all the good or even OK movies of 2007 but I recently heard this song from Ek Chalis ki Last Local and I was in love with it. I’ve listened to it 20 times in a row and I’m not tired of it…that’s saying something, isn’t it? Besides that I don’t have a life…
The choreography blows though…
So it’s either this or “Mauja Mauja” from Jab We Met. Take your pick.
Oh, and I always welcome recommendations from you guys. Better songs?
As ANOTHER no-talent kid gets launched by daddy (or mummy).
Ravi Chopra’s sons, Abhay and Kapil, are the set to be the new additions to the (in)famous train of youngsters entering Bollywood mainstream.
Ravi Chopra says,
“My younger son Abhay is planning to direct a film titled Mitthi and will launch it by January. My elder son Kapil is going to make his debut as an actor. I am planning to launch him in my next film titled Kohinoor.”
I despise all these “filmi kids”, as far as I’m concerned, over the last 10 years only three of these kids have earnt the right to call themselves actors (Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Abhishek Bachchan), the rest keep producing the same drivel. I’m looking at you Bobby Deol… and you Sunny Deol… and you Esha Deol… and you Abhay Deol… and you Kareena Kapoor… and you Zayed Khan… and you Fardeen Khan… and… and… I’m bored.
Yeah, I’m just joking…except I’m not, but I am, but not really. Did I confuse you? Good.
Anyways, some fans got a bit restless and started pelting Neha and co-star Abhay Deol when they refused to pose for photographs or give autographs. The fan’s watched them shoot quietly but became violent when the stars showed that they didn’t want to get too close to their audience.
“We thought smiling and waving at them would do the trick, but they wanted handshakes. Seeing that the crowd was getting restless, we decided it was best not to do anything and ran to our vanity vans.
Suddenly the mood turned ugly and the crowd got agitated. Before we knew it, they started pelting stones at us. Fortunately, I had reached my car and Abhay had reached his van so we didn’t get hurt,â€
Aw, good for you Neha, wouldn’t want you to get hurt. And those fans? We’ll learn to live with them, it gets easier, I promise.
