Aamir Khan is a smart guy, we all know that. He turned a movie about a sad kid with a learning disadvantage into a blockbuster. He launched his nephew using the oldest love story on the planet (love between best friends) and you know that Ghajni, starring Jiah Khan, is also going to be a hit because Aamir is using all the right tools to target the right market.

In movie-speak, that means that its started shooting...heehee, I'm continental like that. Anyways, Aamir Khan's new movie, 3 Idiots, has finally begun shooting, with director Rajkumar Hirani shooting the first scenes with Aamir's co-star Madhavan.

Imran Khan (who by the way looks really good in that suit ;-)) appreciates all that his uncle has done in launching him, and continues to accept Aamir Khan's help for future projects. Aamir is committed to making his nephew a success in the industry and instead of letting him make his own mistakes as far as scripts go, Aamir is hoping that the Kidnap actor will learn from Aamir's mistakes when he started in the industry.

A source reports,

"A few big banners approached Imraan in the last few weeks but he turned them all down one by one and now we have found out why!

One big shot corporate had approached Imraan with a tempting offer just as the signing amount, but the young newcomer declined it there and then since no script was offered along with. Any script offered to Imraan first goes to Aamir.

After weighing the various pros and cons of the offered project, Aamir then has a meeting with Imraan. In this meeting he puts forth his points and leaves it up to his nephew whether he should accept the film or not."

Sounds like a good Mamu...did I mention how good Imran looks in that suit?

Either this story is fake, or Aamir Khan may be losing his mind.

The dude, known for doing things right was recently at a screening of Mumbai Meri Jaan, where his behaviour raised some eyebrows. He arrived carrying a shawl...I supposed that's in case the theatre got a bit chilly. He was also carrying a little tiffin and proceeded to have snack of an egg white omelet and brown bread during the interval, while other members of the audience munched on hor d'voures.

He also sipped from his little silver flask of coffee. I know that's it good to save money and stay healthy and all, but that was free food! How could you say no to free food?!

So, today's story is about Aamir Khan and his new movie Idiots. We all know that Aamir is a crazy perfectionist nut and when he's not in control, the world starts falling apart...at least it does for him.

But maybe the Lagaan star is in therapy or something because when Vidhu Vinod Chopra gave Aamir a contract that included a clause about absolutely no interference in the film-making project, Aamir accepted the role nonetheless.

Also, Aamir has never really shown himself as a flashy filmstar, with the convoy of imported cars and the big-ass house, but there is a difference between modest and cheap and I think his wife Kiran Rao just crossed it. While going to see Kung Fu Panda, which offered free drinks and popcorn as part of the experience, most people couldn't be bothered waiting in line for the free stuff.

Kiran did though...she waited a long time for the free drink. Can I hear 'kanjoos'?

Have we ever seen all three Khan's on screen together? Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir? Well, even if we never get to see them, we might be seeing two generations of Khan's come together on the big screen.

Even if you are a superstar in Bollywood, I guess there's no harm in showing appreciation to the guys that are increasing your status in the industry.

That's what Aamir Khan is doing. Even though Aamir hasn't done a movie since Taare Zameen Par, his name is still on people's lips when they discuss Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, second only to his nephew Imran Khan. Aamir decided to show his appreciation to his nephew by buying him a new BMW that cost a tidy 50 lakh rupees (5 000 000 rupees) and is supposedly white in colour.

White? Seriously, if you're ever going to buy a brilliant car, it should always be black! If it's not black, then don't bother. White is the most common coloured car on the road (at least, it is here).

Aamir Khan found a hit in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Lots of people went to see the movie already, but Aamir and director Abbas aren't happy with that. With a cool gimmick, they have managed to send people back to the cinema's for round two.

So happy Monday all, I hope you had a brilliant weekend. Mine was extremely relaxing, except now I have to catch up on all the work I didn't do over the weekend. Maybe it's just me, but campus got a lot harder this semester!

So the latest story today, and to add another twist to the Katrina Kaif birthday fiasco, is that boyfriend Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan started bickering during the party. When will these guys ever grow up?

Even though the fight sounded very petty, it seems that Bollywood is breaking apart down the middle, with Shah Rukh supporters and Sallu supporters. It seems that Salman first took aim at Shah Rukh with a bottle of champagne and Shah Rukh retaliated with an evian water and even Aamir Khan got involved with a bottle of oil, so he could pour oil on troubled waters...get it? Heehee...Ok, I'm sugar high. Bad joke.

Salman did start the fight though, by comparing the ratings of 'Dus Ka Dum' and "Paanchvi Pass' and laughed at King Khan for not even pulling decent ratings. SRK was supposedly silent for most of the attack, until he retorted by saying something about Ash, which set Salman off again. And Aamir did try to intervene, to no avail. Unfortunately, there weren't any eyewitnesses, so no one can tell me if they had a food fight or not.

So now Salman's and Shah Rukh's supporters are coming up from the woodwork, with actors such as Fardeen and Zayed Khan, Ranbir and Kareena Kapoor all throwing in their lot with him and directors like Sajid Khan, Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar and Yash Chopra supposedly siding with Shah Rukh.

Honestly, I don't care who wins, as long as there's a Bollywood-wide food-fight!

I've been reading so many conflictiing stories about Katrina Kaif's recent birthday, I'm very confused.

So let's go over things so we can make some sense out of them:

Scenario 1) Salman Khan threw the party for Katrina in a surprising burst of affection...

Scenario 2) Salman didn't throw the party for Katrina, he barely made it and Katrina left the party in a huff because of his late arrival (backed up with pictures of a very pissed off-looking Kat)

Scenario 3) Salman threw the party and invited Aamir Khan as well, and at the end of the night, proposed to Kat in front of everyone. No idea whether she accepted or not but the dodgy source says that it was a very romantic gesture.

So which one do you believe?
