Yash Raj must be pleased
Posted on November 28th, 2008 by tigger under Aditya Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Yash ChopraYash Raj has become very wary of late. Their movies aren’t guaranteed to be a hit anymore and that’s why Aditya Chopra, known for keeping mum until a movies release, staged a special screening of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi for Yash Chopra, Karan Johar and the stars of the movie.
According to sources, everyone present was seriously impressed at the movie and Yash Chopra can breathe freely because he feels that this will bring Yash Raj back to the top again. A source reports,
“Well Adi was a relieved man once the show was over as RNBDJ has SUPERHIT written all over.
It is definately going to YRF’s savior just like last year’s SRK starrer Chak De India was! The movie is a complete family entertainerquite funny and has some really spectacular dance sequences.
The highlight number being the one where the King Khan is shown imitating old actors like Rajesh Khanna and Shammi Kapoor, etc. The film is a simple sweet love story shot mainly in India. Anushka has made a good debut and she is a good dancer.”
And for those of you who want to know what the storyline is, Shah Rukh Khan’s and Anushka Sharma’s characters are already married, although the marriage doesn’t really have much romance in it. Shah Rukh’s character really does love his wife though and when his wife wants to enter a dance competition (I’m assuming it’s a couples thing), he gets a makeover so he can be the guy of her dreams.
Sounds interesting…and different, Bollywood doesn’t really concentrate much on married couples, just on getting the two together.

I’m hoping this movie does well at the box office…Especially after the strike in India about Indian dramas (blah blah blah) and now the terrorist attacks…

Lol, I loved that character…well, I just want him to be sweet and normal again.
What’s this about a strike about Indian dramas, Simran?

Well, in India all the people associated with Indian serials (actors, directors etc) decided that they weren’t getting paid enough by the channels their serials aired on so they went on strike until the channel people decided to give them higher salaries. So all the serials, singing/dance competitions were put on hold and everything was basically shut down…So down in Canada (where I live) no new episodes have been airing and it’s going to take another month or so to get everything back to normal even though I heard in a couple papers and websites and news channels that the strike is over…*sigh* I don’t even know if the strike is over or not!

I really don’t think this movie will be a hit because the story doesn’t seem that apealing. Oh well its worth a watch. Tigger, I watched Yuvraag and Dostana I think Yuvraag was more interesting story even though it did flop
Dostana was hilarias.
