Lots of Shahid!
Posted on October 17th, 2008 by tigger under Ayesha Takia, Kareena Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Sania Mirza, Shahid KapoorHey guys. Since it is Friday, it’s obviously time for Shahid. For those of you who don’t read the comments, I really am sorry for the lack of a Shahid Kapoor post last Friday, but hopefully this bumper one will make up for it, since there’s a decent amount of Shahid news doing the rounds.
First story, Sania Mirza has supposedly dumped Shahid for Telugu actor Navdeep Pallapolu. Honestly, I think this story is pointless because I don’t think Shahid and Sania were dating in the first place. After Shahid and Kareena broke up, he just needed a friend and found Sania. Shahid doesn’t seem like the guy that needs a rebound chick to prove that he’s still got it, or maybe it’s just me who sees no wrong in him.
Second story, for those of you who scour the web for Shahid news, like I do, then you should know that Shahid’s new movie Paathshala is coming out in January 2009. I’m not even 100% sure if Shahid’s role is that of the protagonist since I read ages and ages ago that his role was meant to be a special appearance but I think they may have expanded it considering Shahid’s new star status. Shahid plays an encouraging teacher in the movie and Ayesha Takia will be playing his lady love. Nana Patekar plays a negative role, as the school principal.
Third Story, the trailer of the movie was released with Karzzz, so here you go, enjoy! I’m sure you guys are tired of me saying this, but oh my word he looks cute! I’m still not sure about the story line but it looks a bit like a mix of Taare Zameen Par and Mohabbatein, and since I loved both those movies, I don’t see why this one won’t be awesome as well.
For the dialogue trailer, here’s the YouTube link. It doesn’t look as cheerful as the first one…Hey, though is it just me or the second bit of dialogue that Shahid spoke in this trailer was dubbed with someone else’s voice? I can’t wait for the 9th of January, when the movie is set to be released!
And there’s your Shahid post. Have a great weekend everyone! See you on Monday!

thatmovie looks soooooooooo good. something to look forward to in jan. he looks hott. i wished my teacher looked like that. but if i did i would be failing the class. i wouldn’t be able to pay attention. i would just stare at hm the whole period.

No Tigger, it’s not just you. The voice is definitely dubbed and everyone on Shahid forum’s everywhere (yes, I am part of a few!) are going nuts over not hearing his sexy (if I may say so) voice.

Hoping that he dubs in his own voice before the movie releases otherwise I will be very disappointed.
How can they not have his voice, it’s one of the most awesome features of Shahid’s including of course - his eyes, his lips, his hands, his nose…..bla bla bla….everything
A substitute won’t do…na na na….even if it is a voice substitute. I really hope the fix the voice.

And the Sani Mirza bit…God! media loves to make Shahid sound like the jilted lover (always jilted in love). The guy was not even in love with Sania and now they are saying “Shahid dumped” Most hilarious news ever, I wonder how Shahid reacts to these, I am sure he is so used to them that he just laughs out loud!
even though a bit disappointed as I was looking forward to seeing him for Australian Open tennis
I mean these stories are so ridiculous that even the teenage fans laugh about them and don’t believe any of it. Even the teenagers can see through paparazzi stupidity, which I find quite amusing
Well, I am glad that he is not with Sania
On the plus side, maybe now the media can stop talking about his love life for once, I am sure even they are getting tired??
October 18th, 2008 at 11:29 am
Thanks Tigger, loved the trailers, of course I’ve seen them earlier on SO about 17 times but who minds seeing them again and again.. and again.
I wish there was some way of getting across to the makers of ‘Paathshala’ that we’re THIRSTY for his voice!
Sarah, when it comes to Shahid romance rumours, the media is simply indefatigable. The Priyanka chapter has started now, remember? But I’m pretty sure, too, that Shahid isn’t disturbed by such things at all, probably brushes it aside with that mischievious bright-eyed smile..
October 18th, 2008 at 11:20 pm
hey tigger, about what you said about paatshahla being a mix of TZP and Mohabhatein, i think you’re right!!

Shahid must be happy, he said that he really wished he was a part of TZP because it was a good film.
and i’m still really mad that they dubbed shahid’s and ayesha’s voice…
honestly, if they don’t dub for the film, i’ll be howling like a wolf!!
lol
anyways, how does this all work?? do actor not speak at al while acting and then dub in the words later??
October 19th, 2008 at 12:04 am
Neelam, I think there are two ways it’s done. Some films (most, till now) have dubbed sound, in which the actors speak while acting during the shooting, but also dub the dialogues separately in the studio. In the final cut, the sound from the shooting is blanked out and instead the dubbed dialogues and background music is put in.
The other way, which is considered more realistic, is called sync sound, in which the dialogues spoken during shooting as well as all the noises at that time are kept in the final cut. In this case there’s no separate dialogue dubbing.
Tigger, I hope I got this right?
October 19th, 2008 at 12:05 am
So this essentially means Paathshala is a dubbed sound movie, in which Shahid did deliver his dialogues but they were blanked out later and other people’s dubbed voices were put in

Thanks Pomita…
and now that sudden reaization sink into our skin… boohoo!!
But they moved the release date, didn’t they?? probably so that they could get ayesha and shahid to dub for it?
October 20th, 2008 at 6:13 pm
Hmm.. I feel awkward commenting among so many excited girls..
moving on.. u r right, shahid is not doing the dubbing for his character, and i guess he isn’t there in a special appearance, infact i think he is the lead hero.. anyway the movie looks interesting..kind of like, remember hip hip hurray? used to come on zee tv..
October 20th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
Yes, Neelam, that’s why I put the second comment as an afterthought, I suddenly realized what they’ve done!
Priya, for some reason it worked the other way round for me. Whenever I found a teacher handsome, I found myself topping that course
Positive energy, maybe!

Hi i am going to change my name from anonymous to
Roxtar. I absolutley luv shahid and i really
am lookin forward 2 Paathshala but i agree with
everyone about the teachers and the sania stuff.
I hate sania mirza and i am really happy with shahid getting “dumped” by her. evern though its
not a thing to be happy about……….I LOVE SHAHID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you tigger
as a friend
October 21st, 2008 at 1:50 am
pomita,
i would never be able to concentrate.
October 21st, 2008 at 10:42 pm
well ya as a teacher i wouldnt be able to concentrate but i still cant believe shahid isnt
doing the dubbing……Oh well …. remember the time tigger posted and indian idol video …
maybe that guy could do it……..
October 21st, 2008 at 11:39 pm
WHERE IS TIGGER?????? SHE’S GONE AGAIN!!!!!
October 22nd, 2008 at 12:16 am
Lol, I think if he was my teacher I would be doing better, you know, just to get the approving smiles. Or I might fail…which means one-on-one tutoring, whoohoo!
Yeah Neelam, what Pomita said is perfect. Almost all movies now are dubbed, it’s just a whole lot easier than having to clean up background noises etc from the film. Sometimes it’s easy to pick up dubbings if they’re done badly but most movies do a pretty good job of it…even though occasionally dialogue is added that was never spoken in the movie, lol.
Lol, Perx, obviously I have no idea what Hip Hip Hurray is, but maybe the real Indians on the blog will know.
LMHO, thanks Roxtar, that’s sweet of you.
Guys, I honestly don’t think that Shahid won’t dub for the movie. He’s too well-known to take his voice out (like how they did with Katrina Kaif in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya…that time it worked because no one knew who she was). It would be like releasing a SRK movie with his voice dubbed (though come to think of it, they did do that, lol, but Shah Rukh denounced the whole crap movie). My guess to why Shahid’s voice wasn’t in the trailer was because the producers wanted to release the trailer ASAP and Shahid wasn’t available to dub for it so they released it with someone else’s voice. But there is NO FREAKIN’ WAY they are going to release the movie like that…I’m so sure about this that I’ll give up chocolate for a year if I’m wrong, lol.
Priya, I’m never gone, lol, but I’m sorry that I haven’t replied to comments until tonight.
October 22nd, 2008 at 12:23 am
Oh by the way Pomita, was it you who provided ShahidOnline.net with those Elle scans? Lol, they just mentioned it on one of their posts and I was wondering if it’s the same Pomita…
October 22nd, 2008 at 2:44 am
Yup. The one and only Pomita from Shahid Online! p.s. Sarah and I are from there too!!
lol. Thanks tigger, now it makes more sense….
although i still can’t wrap my brain around why people should have to say their dialouges twice, but, NEVER MIND!
October 22nd, 2008 at 2:55 am
oh ok. well as long as u write back i’m all good. r u excited 4 the movie?
October 22nd, 2008 at 8:39 pm
Yes Tigger, Neelam answered it for me, same Pomita here
Oh, HOW I wish you’re right! If Shahid does go on to do his own dubbing, I’m sure we Shahid fans will volunteer to provide you with your next 5 years’ worth of chocolate, just because you gave us hope!
October 22nd, 2008 at 8:40 pm
Btw, which was the SRK movie in which his voice was dubbed? I didn’t know. Not really up-to-date on SRK!
October 25th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
Lol, okay cool. I should really join the forums there…just need to find the time to do it.
Thanks Pomita, that’s sweet, lol, but I’m just glad you guys read and comment on the blog.
Um, the movie was called ‘Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke’ and it was released in 2004. But it had been shot like 10 years previously, so everything looks really weird and old fashioned and Shah Rukh looks young…I bought it when I was new to Bollywood but honestly, it’s the worst movie ever and I only watched 20 minutes of it.
