I’m surprised to say this, but Koena Mitra shows a surprising amount of common sense in a recent interview. Extracts below…
Q. Secret behind your sexy figure?
A. It’s a combination of a good balanced diet accompanied with exercises. For me exercises can be walking, swimming or playing any kind of sports. Fitness is the best formula to look good and feel better.I only miss my exercises when am back after a long schedule as at that moment I just want to relax and my destination is my bedroom.
Finally, someone that sounds normal and doesn’t talk about the magical qualities of Yoga.
The Apna Sapna Money Money actress also decries the emerging Bollywood trend of dating married men,
Q. It looks to be a kind of fashion in Bollywood to fall in love with a married man. Would you prefer to follow the same?
A. No way, if today he can ditch somebody for me, tomorrow he may dump me, too.
Big duh…Sushmita Sen, are you listening?

Another intelligent one in Bollywood besides Sophia? This is too much!!

By the way, Koena is a knockout, in my book.

Lol, well, I don’t know about academic smarts but she has common sense, which is a lot more than some other actresses have.
She kinda looks like Bipasha Basu, lol, so I see why you would like her.

You’re pretty smart yourself, distinguishing between academic smarts and common sense. By the way, Sophia seems to have common sense as well as being a superachiever. She has said that her kind of man has to be intelligent, funny, stable, respectful, and “But for me looks are not the most important thing and that’s for sure.” When asked if she would go out on a blind date, she said no, because she doesn’t believe love is blind. She is not just academically extremely bright, she really is a superachiever. Whatever Sophia puts her mind to, she excels at, be it academics, dance, music, languages, performing (V-J)… She has recently said that she finds acting challenging…just wait and see….

….and yes, Koena does look a little like Bips, who is a knockout, Ford World Supermodel…
June 12th, 2008 at 11:23 am
Lol, thanks.
You really know a lot about Sophie…on the other hand, I know lots about Shahid, so that makes sense, lol. Although…it’s a lot easier to say that looks aren’t important…no one wants to be thought shallow, but I think everyone has a level of looks in their mind that they’re willing to accept and anything beyond that…well, I guess the guy just has to have a good personality.
I guess that’s a very cynical view from someone who’s motto is “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder”, lol, but EVERY girl (unless she’s not tactful) will say that they don’t care about looks.
Lol, Sophie, Koena, Bipasha…now I’ve got a pretty good idea about what you find attractive in a girl.
June 12th, 2008 at 11:49 am
BTW, you never said that thing you were going to say about Sophie on another post…or is the above what you were going to say?
June 13th, 2008 at 4:37 am
You are right, beauty really is in the eyes of the beholder. Almost everyone has come across a situation where they say to themselves, I wonder what she sees in him/her. But it is also true that most people would not fall for let’s say someone with a deformity, or someone who is extremely short (I am being polite).
Every girl would say that she doesn’t care about looks? Really? Even girls like Kareena? Do you really believe that? She is outspoken enough, or at least was, to not worry about tact, and too stupid to even think of the perception people would have of her. At least, that’s my opinion.
You now know what I like in a girl? And what is that?
What I was going to say about Sophia is that her first crush was Salman Khan (when she was younger). And her favorite vacation spots are Paris and….The Maldives!! Snap!! Remember the tip I gave you about the Maldives long ago?
June 13th, 2008 at 11:18 am
Well, if someone is ultra-short or has a deformity, they better have a brilliant personality.
Locust, I think even Kareena wouldn’t say that all she goes after is looks. That’s the height of shallowness and even though she’s arrogant as Hell, she’ll never admit that she has a character flaw.
Lol, lets see what Bips, Koena and Sophie have in common. They’re tall, all have longish faces, long, dark hair, sound like they’re smart…ok, maybe I don’t know much but I know a little bit.
Ohkay, so you suggested the Maldives so I could see Sophie…?Lol
June 15th, 2008 at 1:23 am
Ha! Ha! That’s funny. No, I didn’t tell you about The Maldives because of Sophia. That was a long time ago and I had no idea then that she liked The Maldives. They are fabulous and are expensive, in fact, if you so choose, can be unbelievably expensive. But they are awesome, however three to four days are enough. Beyond that you quickly reach the point of diminishing returns. A good alternative are the Lakshadweep Islands (Indian Federal Territory). They are the northern extension of The Maldives, and much cheaper to visit. You go on a ship, and nowadays they have flights. But you have to book well in advance, because even Indian citizens need permits to go there. This is not because it has military facilities or anything, but the territorial administration is draconian in its approach to maintaining the ecology. Hence they control the flow of people thru the permitting system. If you go by ship, it docks on some of the islands and you go ashore and enjoy everything there is to enjoy, includiing watersports, etc. But your home base is always the ship.

Sounds like fun…I’ve always wanted to go on a cruise.
You’re not a travel agent by any chance, are you?
Kidding, you just know stuff about everything!
