Shahid hot

Hey guys, I’m having some serious internet problems at the moment, which sucks, but since it’s working right now and I’m not sure if it’ll stay up, I’m going to start right away with Shahid news and if I get a chance, I’ll upload some other posts.

There’s some Shahid news this week. One of the main ones is something which will be a big boost for any dancers who live in the USA. Since I don’t live in the States and I can’t dance for toffee, I’ll leave this one up for the less co-ordination-challenged of Shahid’s fans.

While the focus is on Kaminay and Paathshala recently, don’t forget that Shahid is shooting other movies, including his Yash Raj flick with Rani and Ken Ghosh’s Yahoo. So check out what the filmmakers are contemplating. UTV motion pictures have decided that they will allow a very talented person or group to feature in one of the songs in Yahoo.

The details are as follows,
The contest titled ‘Bollypop’ is open to all U.S. residents and is maintained by Saavn.com, the largest digital distributor of South Asian movies, music videos, audio tracks and ring-tones. Contestants (individuals or dance troupes) need to upload a video of themselves dancing to a Bollywood song, which can be uploaded for free at www.verizon.com/bollypop.

So if you can dance in any way that doesn’t resemble a chicken, I would seriously suggest that you guys apply for this. Wouldn’t it be so great if a real Shahid fan got to meet him? Ken will be deciding who the winner is (along with nomination from the website) and they’ll be flown to Mumbai to record the song, and later on spend a few days in New York to celebrate their awesomeness. Sounds great, doesn’t it?

And for the rest of us who haven’t rushed of to find the best dance for a song, here’s some really adorable Shahid news. Meaning that Shahid is adorable, not the news.

We know that Shahid is the sweetest guy ever, but doesn’t it just melt your heart when you hear about him being nice to someone who hasn’t had the same advantages as him? There have been several stories about him giving away cameras and cellphones without a second thought to assistants and crew members who admired the gadgets. He also sent his cook on an all-expenses paid holiday and even sent his secretary to shop-til-he-drops in Pune just because he commended Shahid on his clothes.

I see a pattern emerging here…if you commend something Shahid has, he might just give it to you. Do you think if I commended him on his incredible sweetness (in the unlikely event that I should ever meet him) I might get a hug? ;-)

Oh well SoggyChums, that might be it for this week, but I’m hoping that this freakin’ ADSL gets sorted out soon so I can update some more for today. Have a good weekend.
