Poor Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. While shooting a motorcycle scene for Kaminay, the motorcycle skidded from underneath them, throwing Priyanka and Shahid to the ground and leaving Priyanka with multiple scratches and bruises, although Shahid was unharmed. Needless to say, it was Priyanka who was driving at that moment…;-). The road was muddy however, so let’s give her a little credit, at least she had the guts to drive a motorbike.
In other Shahid news, while watching Kaminay, if you see someone that doesn’t look exactly like Shahid…it’s probably because it isn’t Shahid. Vishal Bharadwaj has a habit of using body doubles and in a recent shooting for Kaminay, he was forced to use them.
A source reports,
“Vishal had no option but to get a lookalike for Shahid at the last minute. The crowd learnt that Shahid was shooting at the station and began gathering there. Vishal was at his wits’ end. He had to complete the shooting at Goregaon railway station in one day. Getting permission to shoot from the Railways is very difficult nowadays. So Vishal had to make do with cheat shots, using the lookalike.”
But obviously every time Shahid faces the camera, it is him. Oh well, do whatever you want Vishal, just make the movie come out ASAP!
Anyways Shahid fans, it’s Friday and I bid you a beautiful weekend. Also to the rest of you as well, obviously.
Hehe, I couldn’t resist messing around with the movie poster, although the movie isn’t all that bad…supposedly.
Since I’m already so behind on my work, obviously my movie watching is suffering…I think I’ll catch up in October. But until then, if you want an expert review on some movies on the circuit now, check out Bachna Ae Haseeno, Singh is Kinng and The Dark Knight.
Quite a decent video actually. You can see Salman Khan ‘nach’ to ‘Tenu Leke’ from Salaam-e-Ishq, Kareena trying to be hot to a rendition of ‘Yeh Mera Dil’ from Don and Rakhi going all patriotic.
Ask Warner Bros., who are suing the makers of Hari Puttar: A Comedy of Terrors, because the name resembles the wizard boy franchise a bit too much. Hari Puttar stars Jackie Shroff and even has an item song by Shamita Shetty. I wonder how long it’ll take to sort this mess out.
There’s nothing like a bit of sibling rivalry to keep a family together. Hey guys, once again, sorry for the lack of posts, what can I say? I have a very bad feeling that my workload isn’t going to decrease until September, so please bear with me.
Deepika Padukone, star of Bachna Ae Haseeno and Chandni Chowk to China, is going home to Bangalore to visit family, who she hasn’t seen in almost 3 years. She continues to talk about her sister, who I think is a professional golfer.
“My sister is five years younger to me. I sometimes envy my sister. She has gone into sports, like my father. And she gets to play golf professionally. That’s a unique position for a 19-year to be in. Acting seems rather ordinary in comparison.”
Yeah, because anyone can act. Like seriously, what is Katrina Kaif doing in the industry? Deepika’s sister has also been given a chance to act in films but has declined and Deepika tells us,
“That’s right she has been offered a Kannada film. But she’s absolutely not interested in a film career. One actress in the family is enough,”
Or maybe because the Kannada film didn’t star Shah Rukh Khan?
Akshay Kumar, star of Tashan and Singh is Kinng, is quite happy with the success of Singh is Kinng, although critics are slamming it for being pointless crap. And by critics, I mean me.
While some actors and actresses forget their normal lives when they become famous, Shahid Kapoor is not a part of this group. The Paathshala actor has kept in touch with all his old friends and recently surprised a friend with a surprise birthday party.
A college or high school friend of Shahid’s recently celebrated his birthday and although Shahid was shooting in Pune for Kaminay with Priyanka Chopra, he still found some time to celebrate with his friend.
A crew member reports,
”Shahid was shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey in Pune. Came 11th August and it was Shahid’s childhood friend Shriram’s birthday, who lives in Bangalore. Shahid called him to Pune. Shahid just told Shriram that he had some urgent work and needed him to come to Pune. It was only when Shriram came to Pune that he realized that Shahid had thrown a surprise birthday get together.”
If that’s not sweet, I don’t know what is. All I have to say is…lucky friend!

Imran Khan (who by the way looks really good in that suit ;-)) appreciates all that his uncle has done in launching him, and continues to accept Aamir Khan’s help for future projects. Aamir is committed to making his nephew a success in the industry and instead of letting him make his own mistakes as far as scripts go, Aamir is hoping that the Kidnap actor will learn from Aamir’s mistakes when he started in the industry.
A source reports,
“A few big banners approached Imraan in the last few weeks but he turned them all down one by one and now we have found out why!
One big shot corporate had approached Imraan with a tempting offer just as the signing amount, but the young newcomer declined it there and then since no script was offered along with. Any script offered to Imraan first goes to Aamir.
After weighing the various pros and cons of the offered project, Aamir then has a meeting with Imraan. In this meeting he puts forth his points and leaves it up to his nephew whether he should accept the film or not.”
Sounds like a good Mamu…did I mention how good Imran looks in that suit?
