Soha

So am I! Actually, I'm just tired. This will be a short and not that sweet post.

Soha Ali Khan misses her family since most of them are in London at the moment and she's stuck in the Mumbai heat and rain, shooting for her new film Dhoondte Reh Jaoge.

She also talks about bhai Saif Ali Khan and the fact that people seem to think she's his publicist or something,
"I wouldn't want to comment on my personal life. Or Bhai's relationship with Kareena of which I'm often asked to be a spokesperson because he's inaccessible. It's so boring to comment on their relationship. It's got nothing to do with my life."
Actually it does, she would be gaining an evil sister-in-law! It has a lot to do with her life! Ag, who cares, I'm going to bed. Good night all!

Harman versus Priyanka

Author: tigger  //  Category: Harman Baweja, Priyanka Chopra

Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra have not only ended their unofficial relationship, but they have also decided to take the battle onto the bigscreen. No, they aren't doing a stupid virtual fight scene like in Love Story 2050, but their new movies are set to be released on the same date.

So who will you be placing your bets on?

Helen is back in Bollywood!

Helen

How many of you are old enough to remember Helen? The first time I saw her in a movie was for Yash Raj's Mohobbatein, but apparently, she's making a comeback to Bollywood.

Debutante director Rajiv Sharma is making a kids movie inspired by Taare Zameen Par, which is a children's film. I don't know if it'll have the serious undertones like TZP had, but it will definitely be featuring Helen as a grandmother/nanny figure.

The movie is entitled Mera Bachpan (My Childhood) and Helen speaks about the role,
"The script was simply amazing. And when I read it I was so overwhelmed, that I decided I had to do it"

''I have also recently seen the rushes of Mera Bachpan and liked the way it has shaped up immensely."
You remember when Helen was the femme fatale of Bollywood? Time is cruel.

Udita is disgusted with people~

Udita Goswami, who never comes up much in this blog has brought media attention to the plight of stray dogs...she has also brought attention to the fact that she's a caring and kind animal lover.

She recently came across a stray dog outside her building and it seemed the poor pooch couldn't walk. Udita was outraged when someone told her that the dog had been hanging around outside the building for a few days,

Udita storms,
"And to think about it, no one came forward to help it. How could people be so insensitive? I was shocked by people apathy"
Um, doesn't she live in the country where people step over beggars? I don't know why she's so shocked that they ignore a hurt dog.
"On inspecting it further, I realized that she was unable to walk at all. Apparently there was some internal injury which had resulted in her being immobile. I was almost in tears when I carried her to a doc and requested him to inspect her further"

"I started nurturing her and in a matter of two days, she was on her feet - Literally! I keep joking with my friends that perhaps she was just acting all this while because she was destined to join my family. Otherwise what else describes her miraculous recovery in 48 hours flat"
So instead of being a sad cat lady, Udita is a sad dog lady. How...sad?

Brett Lee tries Bollywood again

Author: tigger  //  Category: Asha Bhosle, Brett Lee, Harman Baweja

You remember when Brett Lee did this hilarious music video with Asha Bhosle? Well, it seems like he's going to have a go in Bollywood again, this time alongside Harman Baweja.

In Harman's new movie Victory, which has a cricket theme, Brett Lee has sportingly agreed to play a small role in it, along with some of his friends from the Australian cricket team; Brad Hogg, Stuart Clark and Mike Hussey.

Brett says,
"A few years ago, choosing the right film would not have been easy as the atmosphere wasn’t conducive. Now, times have changed."
And about acting with Harman,
"It was a lot of fun. We helped each other out throughout the movie. I taught him a few shots while he gave him me acting tips."
This is the part where people should start laughing hysterically. Harman is the last person to be giving anyone tips about acting!

When Rahul took a bath with Mallika

Most people are looking forward to Maan Gaya Mughal-e-Azam especially for the Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose pairing, last seen in Pyaar Ke Side Effects. Fans will be pleased to hear that there's quite a few lip-locks and even a bath scene where Mallika's character and Rahul's character decide to moisturise each other's hair. Well, I'm assuming that the reason why. What other reasons would there be to take a bath together?

Actually, don't answer that.

Apparently in the song 'Marmari Behen', Rahul and Mallika jump into a petal filled bath together and according to reports from the set, Rahul enjoyed himself the most in the scented bath scene.

Well duh, he's a guy.

Kismat Konnection Movie Review

Kismat Konnection

For the first time ever, I watched a Bollywood movie within a week of it's release, so I thought I would try my hand at a movie review as well. So here goes...

Name: Kismat Konnection (Destined Connection)
Starring: Shahid Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Juhi Chawla, Vishal Malhotra, with a special appearance by Boman Irani.

What can I say about this movie that hasn't already been said? By the way, this review is going to have spoilers, so if you haven't watched it and you don't want to know plot points, then you might want to give this review a miss.

The movie: Yes, it was a bit cliched at points, but isn't that the fun thing about a cute, light movie like KK? That you can predict what's going to happen and then smile to yourself when you find out that you're right? The nicest thing about this movie is that it made sense...I'm sick of Bollywood movies where events happen without any explanation. Some might say that Raj's reasons for not telling Priya the truth from the beginning were a bit dodgy, and I guess I can see their point. Honesty is the best policy...but how can you have a climatic ending if there isn't a conflict? I mean, the stupid fiance removed himself from the picture...there had to be a problem for them to sort out by themselves.

Predictable Flash: As soon as Priya met Boman Irani's character and took him to Raj's meeting, you should have known who he was.

The Actors: Shahid was excellent, in my not-so-humble opinion. His character could be serious and then playful in the blink of an eye. Thoroughly likable, especially since we all have those days where everything goes wrong, and his despair and frustration at his bad-luck life was obvious.
Vidya was really good too. I don't think she looked much older than Shahid, although her character was too similar to her Lage Raho Munnabhai character...or was it just me who thought that?
Juhi was very cute as the fortune-teller, with the right combination of melodrama and comedy.
Vishal was...well, the sidekick? Shahid and him have a good friendship chemistry.

Mouth-dropping drooling scene: Shahid in the shower ;-)

The Music: You already know my opinion on it.

Best song: 'Soniye Ve' (the picturisation of the song was great...especially the scene where Shahid looks at Vidya and sings "Kehna sawa jho baat zabaan se, aankhon se meri parlein" [The things I can't say with my tongue, read them from my eyes] and he looks at her so intensely...swoon. Although those lines sound better in Hindi). I liked 'Is this Love' as well, and obviously, the addition of Shahid just makes the song ten times better.

Funniest Scene: I don't know if I had too much sugar or something, but when Raj and Hitin go to Priya's demonstration, I was laughing hysterically when they really got into the "Batra and Gill, Down Down!" chant. Nope, wasn't too much sugar, I still find that scene hilarious.

I think that's enough from me for tonight. You don't have to agree with my review but comments are always appreciated.

Priyanka, Abhishek and Boo

Author: tigger  //  Category: Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra is acting in her new movie with Abhishek Bachchan, but instead of being charmed with the tall Bachchan's charms, her heart belongs to the cute Boo, her fluffy co-star from Love Story 2050.

Priyanka and Harman also splitting up?

Author: tigger  //  Category: Harman Baweja, Priyanka Chopra

Facelifted Harman

Another story about a couple that never really came out of the relationship closet. Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra have also broken up, according to some reports.

The relationship has been strained since the flop of Love Story 2050, which Harman banked on as his launch as a Hrithik Roshan look-a-like (helped by some plastic surgery). Apparently it was Harman who was making the effort to make the relationship work, but Priyanka thought it was too far gone to recover. She recently cut him off while he tried to speak to her, declared that it was over and cut the call.

Even I think that's cold...and my heart is made of ice.
