Shilpa Shetty is now 32…that’s old. Well, not really, but it’s old for me. She recently celebrated her birthday in Yorkshire where the IIFA awards were being held. Her birthday was pretty special however, as about 40 000 people sang “Happy Birthday to you” to her. She was a bit embarrassed but also flattered. Later on that night (Friday) she cut a 3-storey cake with her parents and some friends, though the majority of celebrities at the party had left early because of gate-crashers who were annoying them.

“The IIFA organizers have gone to so much trouble just because they got to know it was my birthday. I wasn’t supposed to know about the party beforehand. But I sneaked a look at the card that announced the part, ha ha.”

Birthday thoughts from the birthday girl. “It’s been a tumultuous year for me. I never expected all these things to happen to me after Big Brother. But they did. I just want my coming year to be as eventful,if possible.”

Be careful of what you wish for Shilpa, but hope you have a good year.
