Shahid Kapoor must have been supporting girlfriend Kareena Kapoor (the mostly out-of-work actress) by not taking any roles, but after 6 months, the hottie-to-some-monkey-boy-to-others has finally landed a new role. After his oh so adorable performance in Vivah, the actor is back with a new film with director Aziz Mirza, who’s making a romantic musical. Wow, why does that concept sound familiar? Oh wait, oh wait! It’s the concept of every Bollywood movie out there!

Aziz Mirza has made a few films, his last being Phir bi Dil Hai Hindustani (Still my heart remains Indian) with Shah Rukh Khan. Shahid is both excited about working with a new director and he loves the idea that the director had directed Shah Rukh. That’s like the time I went and got that old tissue because it had touched Shah Rukh’s nose…no, I don’t think that’s disgusting. you people don’t get it, do you? That’s Shah Rukh Khan’s mucous!

Anyways, Shahid says:

“After sitting at home for almost six months I’ve finally found the perfect vehicle. Post-Vivah I was adamant on not doing another film until I was fully satisfied with the script. I loved the idea behind Aziz Uncle’s script. I’ve never played a character like this before. The romantic comedy is not a well-tapped genre in our cinema. Aziz Uncle knows that area well.”

Shahid will be alongside Vidya Balan, who is very pretty of course, but might be a bit too old-looking for him. Bring back Amrita and Shahid! Hmmm, I’m using too many exclamations marks, you wouldn’t think I’m depressed, but I’m very very depressed…someone threw away my Shah Rukh tissue! Ok, so maybe it wasn’t Shah Rukh’s and was just a random tissue I picked up in the street, but it could have been. It could have been!
