At a recent Mumbai art auction organized by Ramola Bachchan for Plan India, a well-known charity, Salman Khan’s painting was about to be sold for Rs.20 lakhs, which any novice artist would consider ‘very good’!
But Salman Khan was confident that his art was unique and extraordinary. So when Plan India seemed to accept the bid of Rs.20 lakhs, he walked onto the stage and pulled out his offering from the auction and waited for an opportunity to sell it for a better price.
It seems that Ramesh, an art lover, heard about Sallubhai pulling out his painting from the Bachchan auction and contacted the actor.
So…at least the money is going to an auction…I think, I hope, maybe, quite probably Salman is taking the money for himself. I never ever got any money for my paintings! Just like 5 bucks, though I’m saving that and waiting for it to become an antique, then I’ll be rich!
