Well, that wasn’t the hardest of equations but let’s elaborate. It’s been almost a year since we’ve seen Hrithik on-screen in Dhoom 2 and soon you’ll be seeing him in Jodha-Akbar. After that, you may have to wait for a while because Hrithik hasn’t signed on for anything new…mainly because of his knee.
Not because his knee is exceptionally knobbly or sexy, but because it causes him a lot of pain. Like the pain you get when you sit on your leg for two long and get muscle-cramp+pins and needles, except it’s long-term and you can’t walk it off. Painful, even though the thought of seeing Hrithik hopping around on one leg going “Ouch, ouch, ouch” in a high-pitched voice, as I do when I’m hurt, is quite amusing.
Old bili-ankhien (cat eyes) has let a slight knee problem be aggravated to such a degree that he can’t even sit properly anymore. An injury that started at the sets of Dhoom 2 and Krrish and with some of the action scenes in Jodha-Akbar (which looks so cool in the previews), it hasn’t helped his knee.
Hrithik says,
“I think too much of abuse during Krrish and Dhoom 2 and some portions of Jodhaa Akbar where I had to do a lot of action stuff led to this. I basically succumbed to the notion that we’re all heroes and pain doesn’t matter,”
“I understand now how foolish I have been!”
That final part was aimed at his own stupidity at not getting medical attention before. Ah well, hope he gets better soon and we can all sleep well with the knowledge that even Hrithik isn’t perfect. It’s nice to think of him before sleeping…
