Kat and Salman

Katrina Kaif is sick of being Salman Khan’s girlfriend. Not that she’d break up with him of course, but she wants us all to realise that she’s more than a pretty face and if directors acknowledge her talent (free of Salman) why can’t we?

Reports say that she got her role in Main Yuvraj because Salman encouraged director Subhash Ghai to cast her. She’s furious at the allegations though, saying:

“It’s so stupid to think like that, specially now when I have ‘Namaste London’ to my credit. Actually, I met Subhashji long before. He had offered me a film. I think it was ‘Kisna’. Now for ‘Main Yuvraj’ he asked Vipul Shah to show him my work in ‘Namaste London’. That’s how I think he decided on me,”

“Do people think Subhashji is the kind of filmmaker who can be influenced by people into signing anyone? He has always gone by what is right for his film.”

What if Subhash really wanted Salman in his film but Salman said he would only act if Katrina was given a role? So giving Katrina the role would be right for his film, right? What, I’m just saying! I think I’ll go watch Namaste London again, just to appreciate her talent.
