Ok, so I haven’t watched the movie…mainly because it hasn’t come out on DVD yet, but the opening reviews have been OK. On the other hand I couldn’t find any real reviews, just a bunch of Shah Rukh Khan fans going on about how great it is.
So I won’t write it off, but Chak De India doesn’t have the biggest appeal. True it’s Yash Raj (but that doesn’t mean jack since they seem to be releasing flops only at the moment). It has Shah Rukh Khan, which will pull alot of people into the cinema and it involves hockey, a dying sport in India, especially where girls are involved. Also, it has no romance…so what’s the point?
But…we shall see. Maybe all the Shah Rukh fans aren’t speaking out of their asses and this movie actually does deserve some credit. Go watch it and tell me you don’t hate it.
