Ok guys, I found like a whole bunch of conflicting stories, and I’ll be doing mostly linking so you can read them yourself. Why do we care so much about their screwed-up relationship?

Oh well, version one: It’s Vidya Balan’s fault that they broke up, because she and Shahid were getting quite close and Kareena found solace in the arms of Saif Ali Khan, now they are very much together and getting very naughty. -Throw up all over keyboard-

Ew, now that that’s cleaned up. I find the previous version crap…Bollywood has to connect every actor and actress with their new co-star. It was expected that they would link him up with Vidya. Predictable fluff.

Version two: Shahid Kapoor broke up with Kareena because of her relationship with Saif. Their relationship was already on the rocks and her ‘friendship’ with Saif was the last straw. Shahid reportedly slapped her and called her a whore. Charming…is anyone going off Shahid too? I mean, some girls do deserve a good slap now and then but I have absolutely no respect for any guy who lifts his hand on a woman.

So I really hope that story isn’t real. So basically, we’re back to where we started, except having the disturbing knowledge that Saif and Kareena are getting down and dirty in his make-up van…romantic.

Aah, the life of the somewhat famous. Ranbir Kapoor is so excited by his new-found fame. Not only do girls pay attention to him now, they even try to steal his clothes!

“I must say the attention has been extremely flattering. Yeah, the girls. But the guys seem to like me too. But I like connecting with kids the most. I’ve always liked kids, maybe because I am one myself. I find them responding deeply to me.

Everywhere it has been awesome, sometimes a little scary to see all these girls running towards you like the guy in The Bachelor being pursued by hundreds of girls.”

Aren’t you a handsome devil? But he had his real taste of fan mania when a female fan pushed past security guards at the airport in Hyderabad to rip off his jacket. Was it that expensive?

“It was scary and great fun. But now I make sure I wear extra layers of clothes when I go on these promotional tours,”

And make sure they’re cheap clothes!

Did you know that before Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan was offered the role of Kabir in Chak De India? Yesh, I didn’t know either and we should thank God for that. I really can’t see him pulling that role off, mainly because of his propensity of ripping his shirt off and hitting on much younger girls. Remember that scene when the ex-captain of the squad tried to seduce Shah Rukh (that scene was fascinating in the disgusting way)? Bet you Salman wouldn’t have said no.

He says he refused it because:

“I had an issue with the climax of the film. Adi in fact told me that he would make this [the film] into the biggest hit and you don’t know what you are missing out on,” he says

“I was fortunate that ‘Partner’ did as well.

“People have loved Chak De! and…I was wrong…and this is the scary bit when an actor’s thinking starts going wrong. Adi has made it the same way as he narrated it to me…and I am thinking how can this work dude…it can’t work.”

And good news for Salman. He’s planning to do a movie where he can keep his shirt off the whole time! The actor realised that he has a child fan-base and so he wants to do a movie for them: Tarzan. He thinks he’ll be perfect for the role and his new hairstyle in the movie will have the kids running to the hairdressers and shops for tiger-print loin clothes.

Could you find someone with any more pain on their face? Even my own happiness feels a bit dampened under the weight of Shahid Kapoor’s forced smile. Girls are mean, right? We can do this to a guy…and it’s so not fair. True, girls get hurt too but seeing a guy hurt is doubly hard.

Anyways, Shahid appeared on ‘Amul Star Voice of India’ on the 19th before appearing with Kareena Kapoor on ‘Nach Baliye’ on the 20th. While the two acted professionally on-screen, it was a bit heart-breaking to see him standing next to that witch. Kareena I mean. He’s also finally spoken about the break-up:

“It will be dishonest to say that this doesn’t affect me. I am human, it hurts to see and read this all the time. I guess I have no choice but to live and deal with it,”

“I hold nothing against anybody, if I do, it will pull me down, and I’m not like that. I’ll cherish the good memories of that relationship and move on. That’s what I’m doing - looking at the positive side and trying to be happy.”

“But it is below Bebo’s dignity and mine to talk about all this now. I wish her all the happiness in the world. I have great respect for her. She’s a wonderful girl.”

You know what he should do? Stalk Amrita Rao until she panics and gives in and live happily ever after. That worked for me.

This picture was taken at the Neo Sports Bash, a kinda end of celebration of the Australian tour of India and a chance for mingling of Indians and Australians cricketers without any monkey noises or gestures. Slice! So the Saawariya cast, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor got a chance to meet both the teams. Goodie for them.

Supposedly Yuvrag Singh joked with Sonam asking her out before Salman jumped in insisting that Yuvraj was with him. Manly.

I wasn’t planning to use pictures today because I’m feeling lazy, but I’ll let the pictures give you a 1000 words and I’ll just give you a few. As I suspected, Hrithik Roshan does not look good with a mustache. This is a image from his new movie Jodha-Akbar. Um, hot or not? NOT!

It’s only 5pm and I’m already so sleepy. So to stop me from snoring on my keyboard, let’s talk about Himesh Reshammiya’s possible new movie. Reportedly they cannot find any actress willing to act opposite him, despite him trying to get fit for his role in Karz.

Though the director says it has nothing to do with not finding someone, it’s just that they want to find a new face and just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

“We are going to launch a new face opposite him in the film, and the fact is that we haven’t yet begun our search for this new lady. So, there is no problem as such. I am on the verge of completing my film Tere Sang. Once that is done, I’ll start with the Karz remake.”

“We are still working on the script of the film and will be ready with the first draft by next week. We haven’t started thinking about whom to cast opposite Himesh as yet.”

But finding the new face isn’t the biggest problem. There’s rumours that the whole movie will be shelved, or drastically changed because it resembles the supposed-to-be hit Om Shanti Om starring Shah Rukh Khan. If Karz and Om Shanti Om have to may similarities, then the script will be changed or they might just not make the movie at all…which would be such a loss to us all. How could they do this to us? Make us live a year without Himesh’s great talent?

Wonder how long they’ll be keeping that up but the ex-couple now consider each other the plague and prefer to attend different functions to promote their new movie. Even though the director can pretend like it’s all coincidental, you know they don’t want to see each other’s faces. However Jab we Met did get positive reviews and it sounds like a kid-friendly film. Wouldn’t it be hilarious if they broke up and then finally got a hit?

Ok, and I found an interview by Shahid Kapoor which is quite rare.

What’s your state of mind right now?
How should it be? I’m up and about and all geared for my next release, Jab We Met . I’ve just returned from Toronto where I was shooting for Aziz uncle’s film. We shot for 56 days out of the 60-day schedule. We’re all pooped. But it was fun.

A lot of things happened while you were away. People were speculating about a break-up between you and Kareena. Were you dreading coming back to India and facing the media?
No, in fact I was looking forward to getting back. It was a long stint in Toronto. It felt like I’d lived a lifetime there. I was missing home, family and home food, and couldn’t wait to actually get back here. Interacting with the media is fun, it usually is. So why should I shy away? Also, I know exactly what’s happening in my life. I’m aware of my personal relationships, and have nothing to fret, for I’m not answerable to all and sundry.

Did you notice how interesting my articles are becoming? You didn’t? Me neither.

See, I told you so! (Aren’t those sweet words?). Rani Mukherjee is not getting married to Aditya Chopra on the 10th of February because she’s shooting that day. And when you’re Indian, you can’t have a quickie wedding. Those saath pehre take too long.

A source says:

“Because on the day when she’s supposed to be getting married Rani will be shooting for Kunal Kohli’s film. Contrary to reports the shooting of Kohli’s film doesn’t end in December but February. But that’s ok. They’ll now announce a fresh wedding date on Rani’s behalf. By now she’s gotten used to being engaged, married or whatever with Mr. Aditya Chopra. She denied the engagement. So did people who were supposed to be present at the ceremony. They still insisted Rani was engaged. Rani has denied the marriage. But only because she had to come out to promote her film. Now she’ll keep mum until her next film releases,”

So when’s the next engagement? Next thing you know, a few kids are going to step forward declaring that Rani is their mother. That should be entertaining, almost as fun as watching one of her movies!

Lot’s of crap today, so I’ll be updating later on in the day as well. Let’s talk Bollywood! Yay! Um, no-one call the police please, I’m not on drugs, I’m just really happy and you can’t begrudge a girl some joy.

Anyways, Kangana Ranaut hasn’t been in the news for a while, but now she’s in there because of a visit to her great grandfather. Yes, very exciting news I’m sure. Are you guys strapped into your seats? Good, you should be safe, in case you fall asleep. Kangana tells us the story:

“I was told to immediately come and see my 100-year old great grandfather.

I presumed the worst and immediately left my dubbing for Anurag Basu’s Metro to attend to my great-grandfather (my father’s grandfather) only to be told that the old man is fine. They just wanted me to visit him.”

“He wasn’t talking or eating much. Since I was his favourite great grand-daughter my father immediately called me. So here I am, taking an unscheduled holiday much to Anurag Basu’s annoyance. Unfortunately my sister isn’t allowed to fly because of her health problems. I had to leave her behind in Mumbai with my best friend.”

Kangana is also living the simple life, reading the works of a Swami that promotes simple living. So she’s given up on spicy food and boyfriends, wow, that kind of Indian doesn’t like spicy food? Though she does say that if she got a boyfriend, he would be her age:

“It’s very embarrassing to be linked with men who are much older. Please, when I do have a boyfriend he’d be someone I can look in eye, not look up to.”

Ya, whatever. While I do think dating a much older man is quite gross, there’s nothing wrong with respecting your boyfriend. And I’d rather that he was taller than me so I could look up to him. Guess she wants a guy as short as her.
