New lovebirds Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have already stepped forward and shown their love in public: By getting into a fight at a nightclub that left Kareena in tears. But I think they made up when Saif promised her a big diamond. There's something about sparkly jewellery that makes girls smile...even vampire-esque girls like Kareena. But there's a whole bunch of conflicting reports floating around saying that Saif is looking for a pretty diamond ring for someone special. Bet you it turns out to be his mother. And Kareena's spokesperson (of course) says that the couple never ever fought, so basically this post is a bunch of crap and you should stop reading right here. ... Didn't I say stop reading? Well, if you're Hindu. May your husbands and boyfriends live long. Unless you don't want them to...then fast as much as you want to throw them off the trail and remember the poison. As millions of Hindu women fast for the day without water for the long lives for their husbands, even some stars are fasting. Aishwarya Rai is fasting for the first time this year after marrying Abhishek Bachchan in April. So how they show it in movies when the woman fasts for her boyfriend is all wrong? Or has Ash just never cared that much about how long Abhishek lives? However, both hubby and wifey took time off from their shooting schedules to spend the day together and Ash called on the same mehndi artist that did her wedding henna to do her hands again. It's also reported that she had a new dress made for the day. Ah well, if you're gonna starve, might as well look good doing it. While it's traditional for newly married women to have their husband's names written on their palms, the unmarried gals prefer writing Shah Rukh's name or Rahul Ghandi's. He is the youth congress leader and may be SoggyCornflakes "hottie" of the month if I wasn't so disgusted to put his picture up, so I have to question the sanity of Indian girls. C'mon girls, you can do better than that!

I'm feeling really lazy and run-down today (stupid exams) so excuse the not-funny and not-interesting posts. Lol, though you should all be used to those by now. Ok, so here's the famous Deewangi Deewangi video from Om Shanti Om. It's just the promo since the full thing isn't out yet. I love the song though, it kinda grows on you.

Kangana Ranaut's new movie Fashion will pitch her against Priyanka Chopra. She isn't very worried though, even though this is the first time that she's had to share a lead with another actress. Priyanka also has a better record than her with stealing the screen from co-stars, but Kangana is playing it very cool.

"Barring Anurag Basu's 'Metro', most of my films have been solo-heroine films revolving around my character. This is the first time I'm co-starring with another actress. I'm not insecure about it. Why should I be? Priyanka and I have distinct personalities and that's why Madhur has signed us to play the two very different characters,"

She isn't planning to start any catfights however and sees the role as a new experience. How very mature of her.

"It'd be healthy competition. We'll both do our best. A film shouldn't be like a kabaddi competition. "And moreover Priyanka is not one of those actresses who has catfights on the sets or walks off because...bhalaa uski kameez meri kameez se zyada safed kyon hai! Um, ok, I don't get the Hindi part properly. Priyanka doesn't walk off sets because her top isn't any white than Kangana's? I thought this was a movie, not a washing soap commercial. Help, someone!

Since I have readers who like Mallika Sherawat and since I like the readers, I won't go on my sad insulting spree again. Tabu and Mallika have never acted together (as far as I know) but directors are now preferring the screen-siren over more demure Tabussam (Yup, that's her real name). The writer of Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam, Cheel, says:

"I'm a writer. So I know exactly how to place an actor into a character. Yes, Tabu was to do the role. But the way I look at it now, the role is perfect for Mallika. If Naseeruddin Shah had done 'Black' wouldn't it have been different from the way Amitabh Bachchan played the character?"

Um, good point I guess. After the success of Pyar Ke Side Effects, directors are hoping that Mallika and Rahul Bose can light up the screen again. Mallika won't be cast as her usual sex-bomb character either. Should be fun to see if she can pull this off.

How very exciting. Indians, you are all so lucky to breathe the same air as Aishwarya Rai...not. This was the first time that Beyonce Knowles has played in India, and these magical words of hers sent the crowd into a frenzy.

"I have a baby boy in India. I dream of him all the time."

I didn't know Beyonce had kids! ;-) Ash and her sister-in-law went to see Beyonce who was on her 'Beyonce Experience 2007 World Tour' and while no-one got a chance to ask her opinion of it, I think Ash was a bit miffed that no-one paid attention to the new bride. After all, she's only been married for 6 months.

While some early reviews of Jab we Met say that there's some serious chemistry between Bebo and Shahid Kapoor. So the break-up paid off and Kareena Kapoor finally has a hit movie through her own non-talent...she also has a new boyfriend, who's publically declaring that he isn't in love with her...yet.

Um, ohkay. I think we know that already Saif, it's unlikely that you'll be announcing a fling with the Kapoors. Also, I'm sure sleeping is the best way to lose weight. I tried that too, but shockingly, I just put on weight. I couldn't get it! He also talks about his playboy reputation. I don't think he has a playboy reputation, I think he has a couples-breaker reputation. He didn't succeed with Bipasha and John, but he had better luck with Kareena and Shahid. Aren't you the man?

"When you are single and if you go out for even a dinner with a couple of people, it results in a bad reputation," "To have a crush on someone is a quick thing, but love takes time. Isn't that a usual case in the industry, when an actor or actress in a smaller role gets pushed forward in the promotions, just to generate some viewers? It's a sad situation however and kinda proved, since all I heard about Goal was Bipasha Basu and John Abraham team up again. I didn't even know that Ayesha Takia was in the movie, never mind that she was the leading lady. But whatever, she hasn't said much about her exclusion, and neither has John, though he does says Ayesha is a rocking co-star:

"I think she has done an absolutely wonderful and fabulous job. If 'Dor' gave her one award, I think this should nominate her for the other."

Ok, maybe he doesn't say that exactly, but I guess he says she's a good actress? Whatever. I'm cold. Have a good weekend everyone.

India's laws are interesting. You can totally get busted for smoking in public and that's whats happened to Shah Rukh Khan. King Khan, known for his disgusting habit, is in trouble for smoking in public twice and has been fined by the National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE). Though the fine is just 200 rupees, which is nothing for Shah Rukh. Hah, it's even nothing for me. Not that you'd ever catch me smoking, unless it was being smoking hot. Yes, I'm a bit caffeine-high, ignore me. Other things of note that NOTE's achieved is making Amitabh Bachchan apologise for smoking in movie stills. Wow, score guys, way to make a statement. That's why there's only 200 million people in India smoking or using tobacco in some way. Telling Shah Rukh off is surely going to stop them all in their tracks!

Gross. Not because it's a kiss, but because it's Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. Their last kiss was a 'let's see who can look more disgusting and share more germs' affair and I'm scared to see how it looks in Jab We Met. But even though the two are split up, their chemistry is supposed to be sizzling. I assume they mean that in an older gal-younger boy kinda way? I don't care how many Kareena fans swear at me, she looks like she's 30 plus, end of story. And since their break-up is generating a lot of publicity for them and the movie, could anyone be blamed for thinking it's a set-up? Shahid insists that it isn't and he really is heartbroken, etc. In a recent interview:

There were reports that all this is being done for the film's publicity…. Only the script and how the promos are presented affect a film's ox-office. Nothing else matters!

I wonder if Shahid could really be this naive. Of course other things matter and having the protagonists of your film break up just after shooting is sure to do something for sales. Though I still do think that the break-ap in genuine...don't know why, but I just believe that.
