Who thinks actresses are prone to anorexia?

Posted by tigger in Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Arbaaz Khan, Neha Dhupia, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Tusshar Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi

ND

You know, some people think that being as thin as possible is great, and Bollywood and Hollywood both promote this idea. You know what I say? Screw them! Being healthy is more important than being thin…but I don’t know how many actresses out there are really thin and how many have been sucked to thinness.

Here’s an interview with Neha Dhupia, quite interesting, I’m just quoting the bits I wanna make fun off, you’re welcome to click the link and read the rest:

You were surrounded by many good-looking men in this film- Mr Bachchan, Sanjay, Suniel, Vivek, Abhishek, Arbaaz, Tusshar, Shabbir, Rohit…
(Interrupts) Oh come on, I have never ogled at my co-actors.

All these dudes are average looking or worse, what is wrong with you Neha?

You have lost lots of weight. Iska raaz kya hai?
Iska raaz yeh hai that I have started doing yoga regularly and become serious about my workouts. There was a long time in betweem when I was not regular with my exercise regimen.

I work out on an empty stomach, with Deane Pandey (who also trains Preity Zinta and Lara Dutta) at Joggers Park and the beach. And yes, I stay away from chocolates, pastries and aerated drinks.

I don’t take any carbohydrates after sunset. The two vices which increase weight are not my wish list anyway; I don’t smoke and I don’t drink. I wish I could still lose some more kilos.

Liposuction alert!

Brian Lara and Shah Rukh Khan act

Posted by tigger in Fardeen Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen

Brian Lara

Both very surprising, since neither are actors (hehe, did you get my SRK diss? I acted like he wasn’t an actor, slice!). The former West Indian captain apparently has too much free time on his hands after retiring and so he’s acting with Shah Rukh in his new film Dulha Mil Gaya (The Groom has been Found). So what, is this the other side of Runaway Bride?

Wait, wait, I have to read the whole article before writing. The film has Sushmita Sen and Fardeen Khan as the leads, with Shah Rukh and Brian making special appearances. Yeah, that’s the story, exciting hey?

Saif enjoys the catwalk

Posted by tigger in Arjun Rampal, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan

Yeah, Saif Ali Khan did his modelling debut and he talks about how much fun it was.

“I wouldn’t mind. It was certainly not one of the toughest things I’ve done. It was good fun just doing something I had never done before. The lighting was fantastic, and my entry was terrific, thanks to Meher’s planning. The rest was just a cake-walk for me. I just had to take a stroll, that’s all. And the music was great.”

Arjun Rampal being an ex-model himself, helped Saif get prepared. Wow, I was just talking about Arjun in my last post. Isn’t it so weird that he just came up in the next story? Let’s see if God will help me out with their physical forms. I’m thinking about Hrithik, Hrithik, Hrithik…Dammit, no luck.

Why wouldn’t Vidya Balan act with Rani?

Posted by tigger in Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukherji

Hey guys. Just a quick one today, since I’ll be attending a premier with Arjun Rampal later tonight and I won’t have time to update…ok, I’m exaggerating a little. Replace “attending a premier” with “boring myself to death” and “Arjun Rampal” with “a very long essay about some crap that I don’t really care about” and you should be closer to the truth about what I’m doing tonight.

So controversy and rampant speculation time! Vidya Balan had supposedly not done Laga Chunri Mein Daag (A Scarf got a mark on it) because she didn’t want to be a second heroine to Rani Mukherji’s lead. But Vidya in an interview declares it as untrue and says that she did not act in the film because of conflicting time schedules. Yeah, Vidya, that’s a convinient excuse. The same one Kareena used when asked why she was a has-been.

Nah, I’m joking, I like Vidya. So what if she didn’t act in some movie? There’ll be others.

Kangana wonders why her hair is so curly…and why guys take off their shirts

Posted by tigger in Kangana Ranaut

KR

Oh wait, it’s not her who’s wondering about the hair, it’s me…Kangana, why is your hair so curly? Anyways, Kangana Ranaut has her life all planned out. She knows exactly when she’s getting married (age 26) and to who.

“I’m going to get married at the age of 26. So I’ve a good six years to find Mr Right. He should be gentle and well-mannered. He should be real and not a mannequin.

He has to be a white-collar professional like a doctor or a lecturer with a steady income. He should be intelligent but not showily handsome. I don’t like men who flaunt their sexuality and let their muscles hang out all over the place.

To me machismo is about you hide, not show. I prefer a guy in a formal suit, not in a sleeveless teeshirt. And I hate men who bare their chest at the drop of a hat. Applications are most welcome….”

So guys, anyone looking for a girl like Kangana? Apply now, shirts mandatory, bad eyesight preferred.

Jhanvi is back, people!

Posted by tigger in Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai

Now that the “Shaadi” (wedding) of the century is over and to quote Paris Hilton, we’ve all gone back to our mundane lives and can concentrate on the story of the mad women Jhanvi Kapoor/Haya Rizvi. Except this story doesn’t really have anything to do with Ash and Abhishek. It’s more like a normal/standard court case being dragged into the courts because one of the participants thought that Abhishek Bachchan was worth dying over. So basically, no-one cares…

Remember how she refused to acknowledge that she had been married before? Well, now she’s in court, trying to keep the custody of her 10-year-old child. She insists that her ex-husband just wants the boy back because he’s a male heir that his new wife could not produce. She also claims that this courtroom-drama is a way to make her infamous and destroy her Bollywood career.

Um, Haya? What career? and you think you aren’t already infamous? How much more bad publicity do you wanna get? You were the woman that was willing to die for Abhishek…that can’t be right.

John Abraham got hurt…awww

Posted by tigger in John Abraham

John Abraham1

Poor boy, John Abraham got hurt while shooting a scene for the soccer-themed movie Goal.

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri said Abraham completed filming in London after medical attention.

“John was on the field with all the other actors and that’s when he felt this sudden pain in his shin,” Agnihotri told the Mumbai Mirror newspaper. “We immediately called a doctor and a physiotherapist. John was in a lot of pain.” He said Abraham also used acupressure to relieve his pain.

You know, I feel sorry for John and all, but I wonder how this movie is going to do in India. I mean, India isn’t really a soccer-mad society…does India even have a national soccer team?

Salman Khan didn’t appear in court

Posted by tigger in Salman Khan

SK

And what was his excuse? That he was too busy shooting.

Salman’s lawyer H M Saraswat requested the District and Sessions Judge G S Surana to exempt the actor from personnel appearance as he is quite busy in shooting. Surana adjourned the hearing till June 5 and asked Salman to be present for hearing.

The court was scheduled to hear the arguments on Friday on an appeal filed by the actor challenging his conviction and imprisonment of five years for killing an endangered black buck while shooting in Rajasthan for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain.

You know, I’m kinda starting to like Salman, but postponing a case where you’re liable to get 5 years in jail? That might be going a bit too far…and it’s pretty dumb. Almost as dumb as Paris Hilton driving after being convicted of driving with a suspended license. Or me going to meet my online friend and being stood up…yeah that was dumb, but Paris still wins.

Rani and Jaya have a go

Posted by tigger in Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Rani Mukherji

A go at what, you might ask. Well, it seems that the actresses aren’t getting along so well on the set of the film Laaga Chunri Mein Daag (“I got my scarf dirty”…or something like that. What does “Chunri” mean, guys?). Even though Rani Mukherji tried being friendly to Bollywood’s first lady (i.e. Mrs Bachchan), Jaya responded curtly with cold smiles.

Wonder why they’re fighting. Could it be because Rani wasn’t invited to the wedding? Did Rani ever date Abhishek…I remember hearing about them once upon a time. Or could Jaya be giving Rani a cold shoulder because she knows her time is up while Rani is basically at the top? Jealousy makes you nasty…

John is a big boy: Bipasha

Posted by tigger in Bipasha Basu, John Abraham, Kareena Kapoor

Bipasha Basu is apparently taking revenge on Kareena Kapoor by saying that the actress uses to many facial impressions on the screen. But Bips says this is not a retort to Kareena saying John Abraham is an expressionless actor.

“I’m not that kind of a person. I certainly don’t believe in tit for tat. And my episode of Koffee With Karan which was telecast on Sunday was recorded in the first week of December when I had no clue what Kareena had to say about John.

In any case everyone is entitled to her opinion. If Kareena thinks John is expression-less then so be it. He’s a grownup man. He can fight his own battles. I certainly won’t jump in the fray for anyone else, not even my boyfriend. I don’t wish to star a war of words with Kareena or anyone else.”

C’mon Bips, the only way you could have been more obvious is if you got a Kareena doll, dipped it in kerosene and set it alight, thrown it off the top of a building…Yeah, basically, you hate her.

I hope that wasn’t a retort, because that was just sad. You don’t tell Kareena she uses to many expressions in her films! That might lead Kareena to believe that she can actually act, when we all know that she can’t. A good response would have been calling Kareena a talent-less hack who’s only in the industry because of her family. Or calling her a poo-poo head…same difference.
